It'll be a disappointing 7-9 season. For all the moves Jerry Reese made, this team STILL has holes. The TEs suck, o-line is a hot mess and our deep threat #1 draft pick can't get on the field - who knows when he'll play?

I'm really ticked about our TE situation - this is the best Reese could do?

Well, Myers was supposed to fix that...

Nope. TE by committee, but I think the O-line is the biggest killer.

Washington and Parker looking like good bets.

Its gonna be a long season. I think the defense will be good but will lose faith as the year goes on and the offense refuses to score points. That offense is gonna ruin the spirit of the whole team. Our only hope is that our running game is legit. If not, it falls on Eli and I hate to say it but Eli is completely washed. If havent seen a player regress this bad and this fast in a long time. His footwork is a travesty, he cant tell the difference between legit pressure and not, so he runs out of the pocket when he doesnt have to. That usually ends in a nightmare. He already was inaccurate so that doesnt help. And outside of Cruz, we dont know what we have at receiver. Not sure why Reuben Randle is starting on the outside. The guy is lazier than Nicks with his routes.

I think this is Eli's swan song season. If he has another trash year like last, its over. This team winning anything more than 7 games would be a miracle at this point. Our offense looks that freaking bad.

Oh and JPP sucks too. Still waiting for him to be the future of the DE position lik ehe showed us in 2011. Where did that guy go.


Guys Im looking forward to seeing: Damonster.....thats about it. Hes the only guy Im legit wanting to see enter beast mode. I just dont have much hope in the other guys.


To be fair this is just how I feel after last year and things being pretty much the same in preseason. For all we know, McAdoo and Eli will rip Detroit a new one and have me wondering why I ever doubted things. I hope that is the case. I'd love to eat crow on this one.

Oh and sleeper: watch out for my boy Ryan Nassib. They plugged in the west coast offense and the guy started looking like an NFL qb all of a sudden. Eli better watch it.

If you're watching DaMonster and Nassib, I'll take a couple guys who should get PT (besides Moore)
Andre Williams, Johnathan Hankins (take over for Linval) and Corey Washington. Williams has to augment Jennings int he backfield, we need another Earth, Wind, Fire trio.
Hankins—dammit, let's stop the run now that Osi's gone.
Washington will hopefully be the 4 (if Beckham ever gets healthy) but even a 4th wide receiver can do damage.

I think they were just playing it safe, not wanting a Myers scenario.

Yep, and it's time Jerry Reese started feeling some heat too. His recent drafts have been poor and giving big money to that stiff Will Beatty was ridiculous.

Mike Francesca brought up an interesting point. He doesn't think Coughlin signed off on this new offense - it came from higher up. Makes sense - why institute an offense that doesn't suit your QB's style?

Additionally, why surround your QB with completely inept players on offense. From the receivers to the linemen, that offense is nothing but offensive. I'll be the first to call Eli out for his bad play, but he has no help out there and I blame Jerry Reese 100% for it.

There are no playmakers on offense. Thats what it boils down to. Cruz is non existent out there.

I wouldn't have agreed with you last year, but this year for sure. Jerrel Jernigan is an option. A GOOD option.

The way the Maras operate I would expect we put up with this for another 2 years. Coach or the OC has to go at that point. Manning is not Rodgers.

This sunday is my milestone game. If we come out strong and get the W, I'll order 10 cooked crows and eat them whole!

Im staying reserved about it because I know how fast the tide can change for our Giants, but the team has look very good these past 3 weeks. But Im scared about Philly in primetime. We need to win this game and take hold of the division race.

If we get by this next stretch of games with a 5-2 record I dont know what I'll do with myself. I'll bow down to God Coughlin for whipping this bunch in shape.

I'd say 3-3 over those next 7 weeks. Philly is going to come down, we'll beat Dallas 1/2 times (post that annual stinker in there), we have San Fran's number. Indy I doubt we'll get lucky... Seattle: yeesh.
