Re: Official NY "IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS" Thread
This offense is playing horrible. Every play being ran down the the last seconds of the play clock, and just stale take a damn chance you have 3 of the best receivers in the game for crying out loud. I know the Vikings D is good but damn at least make them earn it

I was thinking the same thing. Take a damn chance. And how times can we just throw it into the ground. That was awful last night. The one bright spot was RB Perkins. That dude has some wheels. Cant block. But he definitely needs to touch the ball more.MLB: New York Mets

Re: Official NY "IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS" Thread
Yea he was a flash of hope for better days ahead, the blocking hopefully will come around that's something every young RB has to learn at this level. But damn he would add a huge new dimension to this offense if he could catch like that out of the backfield he would have a mismatch every time with everyone committed to the big 3 receivers.
Biggest thing that pissed me off last night was lack of chances taken on offense, throw the damn ball to your big time receivers regardless of the coverage make those 2 and 3 depth corners prove they can stop you, don't stop yourself wtf

McAdoo was terrible last night. He needs to give up play calling so he can actually be a head coach. He's so tunnel vision on the offense, yet his offense has never been worse than it is now.
I'm nearing the "checking out" part of the season. Honestly didn't expect it to happen this soon this year. Not after 2-0. But this team is no different than the last 5 Giants teams.Comment

OBJ talking about he's not having fun anymore.
NOW he's a distraction lol, he's not wrong though. McAdoo hasn't done anything to give me any confidence in him at all and now the team is talking through the media. What is this guy doing right at this point in the season?Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Official NY "IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS" Thread
Don't pin it all on him. He is catching all the blame meanwhile his other 52 teammate's all suck too. Especially his QB who felt the need to throw him to the wolves for no reason to the media today.
He isn't a distraction, y'all are just digging for bull**** to blame. Classic finger pointing by this organizations n. Freaking classic Giants.Comment

Re: Official NY "IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS" Thread
I don't pin the losses on him, that's obviously not his fault. I'd defended him up until this point. Nothing he said bothered me until he said "What I'm communicating, we aren't doing. I'm not getting the opportunities to contribute."
That's just a stupid thing to say. As a WR, he couldn't have said anything that would've set people up for the "diva receiver" garbage easier. He's playing right into the media's hands at this point, it's embarrassing. He needs to keep it in the context of the team.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Saying he isn't getting opportunities to contribute is exactly within the context of the team. If you want to see why we lost the last two games, look no further than your quarterback. The guy is lost out there right now. Completely lost.
I don't care what the public or media thinks about Odell. I just want my team to win. And the guy keeping us from winning is not Odell Beckham no matter what the media, the public, or his own teammates are trying to spin to us. But it's real easy to point fingers at the only guy with a pulse on this team for the past 3 seasons now.Comment

Re: Official NY "IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS" Thread
I don't need to look for reasons we are losing games, I know why that is. I'm looking for reasons why this nonsense story is being brought up every week, and being constantly asked to anyone on the Giants with a pulse. When JPP said it wasn't a distraction and Eli said the same thing last week, I was fine. OBJ is my guy, but he is bringing so much of this on himself it's ridiculous.
The late hit that Rhodes hit him with? His reaction to that was ridiculous. It's like a hitter at the plate complaining about the strike zone to the umpire, he isn't going to start giving you the calls all of a sudden because you told him he can't see. The flag (apparently thrown by a ref really far away, I saw there was a ref right next to them who didn't throw it) was garbage but it was because of who he is at this point. If he's waiting for the NFL to change the way they make calls on him, he might just be waiting forever. What he can control is his attitude, and he's pissed off like the rest of us, which is understandable, but it's not helping at all.
Whether or not he's the reason we are losing, when Eli of all people feels the need to tell you to calm down to the media, I don't even know what to make of that, Eli never says anything (Eli throwing his guy under the bus is probably a different issue within itself which is why I've been so upset with McAdoo) I'm sure he's been spoken to behind closed doors, I don't know if he isn't listening or if he just really has a problem, but this team has too many issues to figure out as it is without our best player being pissed off all the time. The **** play calling and interceptions piss me off too, I'm sure they piss off Antonio Brown and Julio Jones when they happen as well. I think it's his victim mentality, he is right that the cameras are on him at all times but for him to sit here and act like none of this is brought on himself is really baffling to me.Last edited by DieHardYankee26; 10-05-2016, 12:21 PM.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Official NY "IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS" Thread
Eli saying that is Eli getting the attention for the Giants being trash off of himself. That's pretty obvious. Eli isnt telling the media that he himself needs to find Beckham more or he himself needs to stop turning the ball over. No, everyone else is hounding Beckham, so he'll jump on the bandwagon as well. Don't hold Eli to some high standard. He's looking out for himself as he always has.
I have exactly zero issues with Odell. He's reacting to how the league is treating him. He gets hit late, he complains then the ref FLAGS HIM. Gtfoh.
And honestly, I'm this close to supporting Odell demanding a trade from the Giants. They've left him out to the wolves, and I haven't see the Giants treat a teammate like this since Plax shot himself. It's disturbing.Comment

Re: Official NY "IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS" Thread
McAdoo kind of switched up his rhetoric, now saying he likes OBJ being "salty and competitive" just that he needs to keep it within the rules.
Eli basically said he doesn't think he's doing much wrong and that a lot of stuff is being overblown.
Pugh says he's sick of people asking questions about it and he isn't answering them anymore.
I'm not sure I see the team leaving him to the wolves the way that you do. Even when Richburg got ejected it was for planting Norman and talking ****, I'd bet that was for OBJ. The whole thing is just being made too much of. A win would be a godsend this week. This is why Marshawn acted the way he did lol, OBJ just needs to say next question and move on.
On his actual beef though, something that is bugging me is the West Coast Offense. It seems, IMO, to go against the strength of our team, which is the number of playmakers at receiver. We've got a guy that can get in the open field and do what no one else can do, but he doesn't have a chance to even try because we run plays where theres 2 slant reads and then a dump off. I appreciate the way the offense plays into us having a less than stellar offensive line, but either McAdoo or Eli needs to do better at taking shots downfield.Last edited by DieHardYankee26; 10-06-2016, 08:34 AM.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
