Re: Official San Francisco 49ers thread
I think Singletary would be a good choice to be on Nolan's staff. He can help the LB's become better similar to what Rathman did for the Rbs.Comment

Re: Official San Francisco 49ers thread
he kind of hinted at Dan Reeves for Off cord...but its just speculation on my part. Said he has 2-3 off coordinators in mind and has been making a list the last 12 years who he would want on his staff. Said every year he has mark guys off for getting head coaching jobs and tweek it some.
I know a press conference cant determine if your going to be a succesful head coach or not, but Niner fans have to be impressed, at least the ones who heard him. He seems to have a plan and has everything in order in what he would like to do. He is def saying all the right things.
Ill post the transcript as soon as its up.Comment

San Francisco 49ers to interview Singletary
By Aaron Wilson
Date: Jan 19, 2005
OWINGS MILLS -- Former Miami Dolphins defensive line coach Clarence Brooks is the Baltimore Ravens' new defensive line coach, and linebackers coach Mike Singletary could be the next San Francisco 49ers' defensive coordinator.
Brooks, 53, was hired Wednesday to replace defensive line coach Rex Ryan, who was elevated to coordinator when Mike Nolan became the 49ers' head coach.
The Ravens granted the 49ers permission to interview Singletary, along with an offensive assistant. Nolan could be looking at assistant Jedd Fisch.Comment
