Very disappointed in the trailer. The game needs a new coat of paint with presentation and especially gameplay. It's been at least a decade since the series has drawn me in.

They're giving BAP some love, and that's something I'll encourage with my wallet.

PROVIDED, that there's been enough of substance that's been added. And honestly, I'm of two minds on this. "Pricey pond hockey" is a punchline at this point, but is throwing the baby out with the bath water the best solution? But if a ground-up reworking results in a better experience, great.

There is absolutely nothing in this trailer that you will see in game.
It was played on rookie difficulty(again) and you can easily notice how certain defensive players are controlled by human in order to intentionally move that out of the CPU way and create illusion of "smart" play.
I guess another year, another garbage. Best sport that sadly has by far worst game. No buy, at least for me.

There is nothing to give back. The license is not and has never been exclusive. 2k just chose to get out of the NHL market.

Oh, i know. But EA will never make a hockey game worth the money or time. The trailer looks exactly like every other one which is nothing more than repackaging the exact same game.

It’s funny you say that because when 2k was around, everyone hated what they did with 2k9 and 2k10 because despite the gameplay being just as good or better than 2k8, the graphics were awful compared to EAs offering.

NHL 2K8 was peak 2k hockey! Man.. Miss those days. NHL 2K10 was solid, but man like you said was awful to look at. I just wish 2K stuck around and continued their "team up" stuff, was the EASHL so to speak before the EASHL.

I was a huge 2k8 fan, but 2k10 played better in terms of gameplay. Always thought they were better than EA at the time because of the gameplay and customization options, although EA revolutionized the market with the skill stick.

I will say this is the first EA game I’m looking forward to in awhile. 23 was a dud, 24 was slightly better, but last year I thought was actually solid (nowhere near perfect, but much better) and showed a defined mission. From what I played in the beta, I know it was earlier gameplay but it had improved on what happened in 25. So I’m looking forward to getting my hands on 26 and trying it out and messing around with sliders since I got gameplay pretty good last year.
