It’s never coming back. GM Connected was a well thought out idea at the time (ignoring the server issues and overall bad experience when it debuted), but most people don’t play online franchises anymore in any video games. It’s all either Ultimate Team-like modes, MyPlayer style online modes, or simple single player head to head online.

It would’ve been great to see them fix the issues of GM Connected, but it’s a dying way to play the game now unfortunately.

Didn't Inglehart state that a newer version of GM Connected was being worked on, involved in their 3 plus year plan? He or someone mentioned that the old GM Connected had so many issues under the hood it they couldn't just work on it, had to be from scratch. That's not a direct quote, but something like that was said.

If they get their offline Franchise moved over to how the current CFB/Madden one's are we could be in for a treat, if it works.

But they need to get the core gameplay squared away first, team Strats, player differential, AI chipping pucks out and off the boards, team differential, dump and chase etc..

For as much as I crap on how things are and how settings/sliders don't stick they are very close to getting this core gameplay down, then the rest can fall into place.

It was 2 years ago when they introduced themselves as the leads. He didn’t say they were 100% going to do it, but it was on their wishlist of things to do once they got the core gameplay and core modes squared away with.

It would be nice to see it comeback, although I probably wouldn’t play it I know plenty here would. And I might be more willing to play a random NHL league since I play this game the most.
