Here is my take on the game:
-They changed faceoffs a bit, different angle from the dots, though I still win 90% against the AI
- AI boxes out the top of the circles, to limit exploit goal. Though I still scored some, it was tougher if the forwards are back. If you go against two dmen, they still back in and its money.
- Goalies don't drop as much when you are at the top of the circles, this is good
- Still no instigator for fighting, still have to fight after big hits
- poke checking has changed, the animation looks better
- hits are over the top
- AI in your end are still clueless and stand around
- jerseys wave way too much
- commentary was ok
- arenas look good, still a tad too dark
- presentation very nice
- puck physics seem good
- wrist shot has changed a bit, better animation?
- skill stick seems odd
- the AI can score at will, especially from far out
- money goals are from the slot, almost everything goes in
- Your defence temmates still turn the wrong way
- poke check useless when someone dekes
- use the protect puck and you can easily walk past the AI all game
- cross crease passes, easy, the dmen do nothing to stop it
- you can do quicker passes
- still no loose pucks, pucks magically go to a stick
- the goalies are horrible, these are two of the best in the league.
- saw a few goals where the dman took out his own goalie
- i saw the AI setup behind their own net, wow!
- the deking looks terrible
- every AI player plays the same
- puck seems to die after it goes in the net, the physics should continue
- AI has all kinds of issues turning
-too many AI players trying to deke
- you can still waltz into the zone with no pressure, no pressure in the neutral zone.
- too many perfect passes, hope sliders fix that
- shot speeds too high, more slider fixes

Game feels like NHL14 with some paint. Players look kinda odd. Gameplay has no hockey flow to it.

I feel like I have less control if that even makes any sense.

I scored 25 straight breakaways. Then I stopped.

I scored 25 straight wrist shots. Then I stopped.

I played a few games as both teams. AI did feel a bit better hockey wise. Especially when I was player locked on the center. They moved the puck decent.

Still way too easy to gain the zone. Sliders won't fix that.

All of the above was played on all star hardcore..

As a die hard hockey fan and gamer I'm just really frustrated with this series. I understand they don't have the man power on the Dev team other games have, but man.

Not much more I can say, that I haven't said since NHL 07.

You can set strategies for each individual line and an overall team strategy. Sweet

This is good to hear and it's already been said a couple times by people so far. I think a better more aggressive AI could help take away some of the pain from the easy entry issue.

yeah Bwiggy, in the video I‘m seeing a quite a bit more aggressive ai defense. Very happy to see that!

Any diagrams showing what those new strategies or did they just rename old ones? In a video, I saw "Strong Side Slant" under the Breakout strategy.

Some people are saying they don't like the superstar skill stick. What is different about it, exactly?

Restrictive lateral movement resulting in a limited, stiff, unresponsive feeling when trying to deke.

It's not one to one stick movement like in the past, it's just a short left and right deke. Almost like they are missing animations so they didn't make the right stick do anything other than left and right.

If you move the right stick in clockwise motions it does a scripted "canned" move similar to pressing the LB when you are skating.

As a PS4 player, I won't be playing the demo until tomorrow night, but I watched a few videos to see what the game looked like. I have to say, I like what I see so far, with the exception of the fact that there are a couple of little oddities with my Rangers: (1) There are too many generic/inaccurate faces, from what I can see. Mats Zuccarrello and Carl Hagelin are definitely generic, and both aren't even close. Zuccarrello in particular bugs me because he was the team's leading scorer last season. (2) The game denotes Derek Stepan as Captain. The Rangers currently have no Captain, as they have not named one since they traded Ryan Callahan last season. (They used three Alternates for the rest of the season -- Dan Girardi, Marc Staal, and the since-bought-out Brad Richards.) It is widely believed that Ryan McDonagh will be the next Captain. Minor, yes (and certain to be changed if necessary with a roster update), but it just bugs me.

Very fun. Presentation is 100x better than any other version of NHL. Very immersive.

Shot speed is amped up but sliders will fix that.

I typically play with Action or Ice cam, both those options seem a little zoomed out compared to last year. I hope camera customization is in the full retail version. I'd like to use dynamic low and zoom in a bit.

Disappointed in the loss of modes and the recent "bad news" but I'm looking forward to the game, this demo has made me feel even more confident.

I liked what I saw there. 2 things I noticed:

- the cutscenes. Lundqvist moves without moving his legs at the beginning. That is awful. I rather have prerenedered cutscenes than this ****
- they make a big boost in presentation and the fans. I would like more noise when the home team is on the PP.

not enough to make me buy the current gen version. Nothing really stands out other than presentation. Arenas are barely noticeable during gameplay and the music is horrid. light em up by fallout boy is only for philly. i think previous gen is good enough to get my hockey fix until sony and microsoft figure out the mp3 issue on current gen consoles and EA adds otp and eashl.
