Re: NHL 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
So it's a bare bones game with a single player HUT mode ready to drain piggy banks and allowances at launch worldwide, the "suits" dream game.
It probably sounds like a football game when the suits come to visit the devs, HUT, HUT, HUT HUT HUT.Comment

I was so excited for this game but I'm sorry, no way I'm letting them get my money after this half-*** game.
You can't even sim ahead when you're taken out in BAP mode?
LOL. Ridiculous.Comment

Re: NHL 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
I understand the negativity of the board, as nhl 15 is missing A LOT traditional features and the dev team should get flak for it. But me....I don't care of being a GM, drafting, trading, editing goalies. I just want a solid authentic game experience ON ICE.
So can we get more gameplay impressions? If the gameplay is solid without any player edits:
1) good scoring feel
2) no cpu robo-passing
3) cpu defenders are pretty aggressive on the blue line..
4) no comeback AI
5) playing the kings is significantly different and harder than playing the flames.
6) 3-4 penalties a game per team.
I can play the game using PLAY NOW exclusively until next year. I really can....
I realize that doesn't have a good chance of happening with nhl 15, but the demo's more aggressive CPU D-men gave me hope for this series. Also, the elimination of cpu robo passing was a huge surprise for me. these were 2 of my 3 biggest gameplay complaints for the last 5 years. The 3rd being not enough penalties. If people play 12 minute periods and can get 7-8 penalties on average per game....then that would be great.
more on ice gameplay impressions please
thanks
I'm in the same boat as all those extra modes mean nothing to me.
We're 12 pages in and there aren't a lot of actual gameplay impressions.
I understand everyone's frustrations of what's not in the game, but can some people provide insight into what is in the game - namely gameplay?Comment

2. You cannot play AHL games. You do have a minor league affiliate and can send players down. It does not look like they will accumulate stats in the minors from what I could tell in the brief time I hopped into the mode. (don't want to spend too much time of my 6 hours not playing the game). But when you send someone down they don't play games or anything, they just are in the minors and are waiting to come back up, hopefully progressing.
How can your most anticipated game of the year turn into the biggest disappointment of the year? Only EA can accomplish that. Sad. A total let down with the lack of features, drafting, editing and modes. Somebody a while back called it Madden 06 all over again and they were right. I thought we were past that in a technological stand point? Haven't bought Madden in 2 years, looks like I'll go pick that up, and wait for this to go on sale.
EA's NHL 15, no doubt could compete 2k in that category.Comment

Hi guys, new here, old dog in NHL games.
So, it has come to this. I have played every NHL game this franchise has made. And once again, I can't wait to give my hard earned cash to EA Sports (It's in the game!), just because I have to. I bought PS4 just for this game. I still have my old console, but I decided it was next-gen or no-gen. Good or bad. But I can't say I'm not disappointed they cut off almost all the crucial elements (for me, mainly EASHL) from this game. But like I said, I'm a sucker who cannot be without latest EA NHL, so I'll play it and I'll pretty much have to like it.Comment

Re: NHL 15 Available Now For EA Access Subscribers, Post Your Impressions
I mean there isn't much to it. Rather than list what is missing here is what you get:
-You have a calendar of regular season games you can play for your one NHL team that you choose.
-There is a salary cap.
-You can send players to your minor league affiliate's logo and have them listed on a minor league roster and call them back up.
-You edit your lines.
-Make trades and sign free agents.
-You can assign your team's uniform numbers and captaincy.
There ya go.
Now with a tremendously nerfed Be a GM and player editing features seemingly gone, I seriously hope EA Canada takes the same approach they did with UFC and add free features/content updates throughout the year. That's an example of a game that's doing it right, and that will be the one of the only things that could potentially save the damage that's already been done to NHL's reputation.
But if EA will release a patch/tuner later to bring back what they took off is unacceptable. Because consumers paid the full price to play the game for the full year. If EA will release a patch/tuner 2-3 months after release, they are robbing the gamers of playing and enjoying the game for a year...that is the cost of $60.Comment

OK everyone. Let's try to keep the discussion on the stuff that DOES work.
If you want to complain about the missing modes, features, etc. use this thread.

Let's get some impressions in here, and leave the rest out for the other thread.
Thanks for understanding.Comment
