They won't try to patch in most of these things, it requires too much code that could throw off the existing game. Next year, hopefully it will be somewhat of a complete game.

I feel as if this is how many are reacting right now...and it's not ridiculous. IMHO the last-gen NHL is far and away the better value at this point, unless you want a somewhat functional next-gen hockey tech demo.

Pretty shocking that this much has been left out of NHL 15 for the PS4/Xbox One. I can understand some things being left out (for now) but man, not being able to edit players, make picks in the draft or being able to sim ahead in Be A Pro are completely baffling.

They only need to post their ETA in patching some of theses features in and everyone will be jumping on it. Not that difficult. They are probably trying to figure this out as we speak. Give them a few days.

Quite optimistic! I wouldn't think a list this long is going to happen in a patch. They had 2 years to get these things in the game and weren't able to. They're going to get them in a patch shortly after the game is released? I'd be VERY surprised.

Holy crap.

I think I might have to cancel my pre-order tomorrow and wait until I can find this somewhere for $30.

I'm generally an EA defender, but that list is insane.

What...

You can "scout" prospects throughout the regular season, but once the draft arrives in the offseason, all of your team's picks are made by the CPU. There is no special cutscene or anything. The game just goes from a blank sim screen to "here's your team's randomly generated rookies."

Yup just picked up my money from gamestop. I even told my family not to buy me nhl 15 for my birthday for ps4. Instead i will be getting destiny which was already a day one buy but now it will be getting my full attention since hockey will be put off until EA gets their crap together maybe next year.

well.. The EA campus is just a few block from my house and I know many people who works at EA. They do care about the work they do. I am not seeing it will be all fix and perfect but you do have to give the runner a chance.

I am shock by the number of missing mode/features but I will let them explain themselves before sending them to the cross.

Sorry, but we've given them a few YEARS to get it right. EA has proven they are all about looks and not gameplay.

1. Realistic arenas: so the game has been around since the early 90s and the "revamp" was basically done in 2004. 10 years later, we are NOW just getting accurate arenas?

2. Possibly no player editing, but hey, you have a crowd that is more lifelike. Glad EA got it's priorities straight.

3. NBC presentation....phew....because I didn't want the poor goalie AI fixed. Seeing the Goalie come way out of the net again leaving an open net chance.

4. Penalties? Where?

5. Color schemes on the menu......yes...white text on a glowing teal background was an awesome choice.

Just from the DEMO I found those issues. So without those modes in the game that would technically free up the EA "dev" staff to work on the nagging issues from years past right? Right? Hello? EA?

I don't have high hopes for another version being released in the future.

I wonder how the EA NHL board doing regarding this news? That is why EA was silent about this game, only presenting the NBC broadcast, the crowds reaction and faces, the venue (except Chicago and Carolina) because thats about it for NHL 15.

Yes I am so mad about this news coz I love playing NHL video game. Take out all the shooting, RPG/adventure, heck other sports games just give me NHL. It flabbergasts me to see how much effort EA is giving for this game.

I hope the sales of this game will be all time low and would result to changing of the developing team leaders. Yea fire RAM or even the director of EA who decided on this poor effort.

Heres my gripes:

1. Authentic arenas- 2k10 had authentic arenas. ON LAST GEN CONSOLES!
2. Built from the ground up- Really?!!! Looks a lot like NHL 14 to me!
3. Presentation- so adding doc and eddy was ok but what about goalies, d men, and other player AI?
