The problem with the goalies in this series is that they'll routinely make sprawling saves by diving across their body or sliding across the crease with a split-second warping animation. But then the next shift they'll turn around and let-in an incredibly weak wrister from a terrible shooting angle, or get fooled by a simple forehand-backhand deke with the skater coming in from the side of net.

Basically, the goalies will save way too many shots that they shouldn't, while simultaneously letting-in way too many shots that they shouldn't.

The goalie AI is probably the most frustrating part of the game, as it has been for years now. NHL 15 has done nothing to improve upon that weakness.

Agreed but that also has to do with how the game is programmed and stuff like tilted Ice also effects the game skewing but I didnt see much of this in NHL 15 once I adjusted sliders and Goalie screen slider stops alot of the weak goals programmed in this game but I always been able to find a happy medium.

Well Im downloading the patch and tuner now so I will know immediately what has changed .

Just act like you are doing an online game vs someone and on the team selection screen, back out of it and you should see a message that a game update downloaded.

im with you.
i have no clue how to get the tuner.
i dont have playstation plus, so i cant play online games.
if it was like last year it should prompt you to download the tuner at the game start up menu. but it doesnt do that for me.
wish they would give an answer on this.

All I know is that after playing 20 games in Be A Pro, there were three 1-0 games that ended in OT or a SO. After I got the tuner update, I have had four 0-0 games than end in OT or a SO, in a row.

Neither team can score goals and everything ends up in the goalies glove. You can't really see a shift in goalie momentum any more, and have seen quite a few warps to the post to make insane saves.

I am having zero fun score zero goals a game, and seeing the CPU score zero goals a game.

And as far as the tuner update goes...I have played a handful of games online AFTER getting the 'Tuner Update' prompt pop-up, but it still either says V1.00 or 'Latest. But, in my update history, it is V1.02.

I know some people are enjoying the new tuner update and it's effect on the gameplay, and more power to you, but for me...this is dissaointing

This weekend, Sony is giving everyone on PS4 free access to PlayStation Plus.

So just wait until Friday and you'll be able to download the tuner.

Yeah, something a bit off. I mean, doesn't make sense that i was abe to get the 'three stars' update without having plus. But need it to get tuner sets? I think you just need to be hooked to the Internet .

I have no clue if I have the tuners, but I do have the latest patch. I joined a ranked match and got to the team selection screen but never got a message to download, so I backed out. In the settings I see the options for v1 or Latest, which is what I have always had it set to. I thought someone said under Hardcore for the Latest option that hitting assistance was set to 0, whereas before it was 1 or 2. I verified that was the case for me.

Either way, the two games I played last night did seem a little off compared to the previous 6 or so I had played in BaP. The early games, using personal sliders, the games were very close for the most part, shots were about even and a decent amount for 10 minute periods. Last night however the other team had like 15-5 or so for shots per period. They cycled the puck A LOT compared to previous games and made my AI look like mites. We were able to come back in the first game and send it to OT and eventually a shootout, where it went like 10 rounds. The second game was more of a blowout and we lost like 6-2, but we also had our backup in.

I'm on the Kings and the games were against the Penguins and Red Wings. We had played decent teams prior so these results were a little strange. Who knows.
