Hi how where you doing before the update in beagm I never played it , does it play different then play now and other modes ?

This is nothing like I bought a month ago but I did lower down to Pro level in playoff mode and its very manageable so at worse I can make the cpu tougher on pro and I do see some penalties.
I can probably move up to 9 or 10 minutes periods do to the update as shots and scores are super lower now do to the improved cpu D.

Hi. I believe that the game played better in 'Play now', than in my GM mode. With both modes at default hardcore. Including more teammate ai help in Play now. At least pre- 1.03.

Thanks for the info thats what I thought also and on pro I can play pretty good D again so ill see what I do to give cpu a boost .

No you're right! The Patch is 1.03 and Tuner is 1.01 (Latest). People seem to not know what a Patch is compared to a Tuner so it's confusing people.

Yea I only see v1 and Latest, although I never play online. Seems silly you have to play an online game to get new tuners. I've twice gone into the team selection screen but never got a message to download the new ones so I backed out.

I'm shelving this game for awhile.. much better on my health anyway.

Maybe playing on "arcade" mode is what they intended the game to be played on or something, but I'm just not having any fun anymore.

I scored a goal tonight and watched the replay 20x.. the puck was going wide and then goes in the air and takes a 90 degree angle and goes into the goal.

Then I take 4 penalties in a row and the CPU scores two goals to go up by 1.. game over.

It feels like at some point they had to get the game out and just patched the final code to get it out the door.

Hopefully some more patches come out before they abandon the game for v16. I'm tired of messing with sliders and settings.

I've loved this series for years and before all the patching and tuners and stuff, was even having fun with the game.. but enough is enough.

The game is pretty much dead for me online. Since you can't change the tuner settings online, I'm stuck w/ a pile of crap.

I hoped next gen EA didnt do their yearly thing like last gen where they release 5 to 6 sliders which screw up the whole game. Where each 5 or 6 tuner's you pretty much get new gameplay per tuner. All the other games don't release so many tuners. Because they actually take time to test out their changes and then finally release it in one big patch WHEN IT'S READY! Not these NHL guys.

The one poster hit it on the head when he said they cater to the online crowd which screws it up for offline. But they screwed it up for everyone this time.

Too bad. I was really rooting for this game even w/ all the missing modes. I thought the out of the box gameplay was a breath of fresh air but they decided now to give us NHL 14 w/ the last tuner set. Most every review site gave it low scores, but they said the one redeeming feature was the fun gameplay. Now ea even take that away. I'm pretty much done w/ this failure of a game and maybe done w/ the series. It sounds like they'll never get over themselves and keep releasing unproven tuner's in the games to come.

Myself, im still enjoying the game for the most part, even though some of the frustrating things are starting to wear on me.

Just really hoping we're not facing another full gen of zero NZ play, berserk mode, and just waiting for things to return we already have had, in the same exact way. Please EA, give us more hardcore hockey gamers, a true "Hardcore" style of play as an option for us. Please. Just can't wait another 7 years.

Thanks for confirming the frame clipping as they used it a few years ago when a goal is needed and theres just so much nerfing in this game now meaning impossible angle shots and passes but I havent given up yet so I will try and play on Pro level and you cant say you havent tried but a smart move .

Yep.. totally blows any realism away for me. I'm sure I'll play some more, but I have to lay off for a bit or I'm going to need either a new TV, controller or both!

I have quite a history of breaking controllers (I reckon about 10 in the past 5 years) and I've been on the verge of making it 11 with this game.

Controller breaking crew although it has been a while.

Anyways I'm only playing BaP and even though that mode is missing features I'm still really enjoying it and think I have my sliders at a good spot for overall evenness. If anything I just need to raise the difficulty from All-Star for my pro as 20 games in and I'm on the first defensive line for the Kings already lol. Other than BaP, online team play was my other most looked forward to mode but if it plays like what you guys are saying regular online plays then I may be disappointed.

Is there a way to delete patches and get back to the out of the box version?
