Re: Do you think there will be an NHL 16?

Despite its massive flaws the game has still sold over half a million copies, by contrast NHL 14 sold just under a million copies. And we haven't hit the all important Holiday season yet. If sales didn't see a massive drop off this year they may never see one. People continue to buy the game so you will see an NHL 16. And this doesn't even count HUT which makes EA massive amounts of money every year.

The one thing I will say is despite the broken mess of a game this year, I actually have faith that 16 will be a playable and enjoyable game. Call it me being an optimist but this NHL team has normally made pretty good games (although they did get very lazy with the franchise mode towards the end of last gen consoles). And I do love the new arenas, crowds and some of the new animations. The commentary is a work in progress it just needs a little bit of emotion/excitement. They have a good foundation to work with for 16 they just need to completely revamp OTP, Be a GM/Pro and all the other modes we all love and enjoy.

NHl is a small team and they got split up to help with another game. So they were left hung to dry. That is EA's fault. The team did a lot of work with this game, to the puck physics, and details with the stadiums and ice. Seeing the streak of scraped ice in a shoot out, and seeing the puck going through the shaved ice at the end of periods is very nice. The collisions the jerseys are all great. It's a great year one game. Madden 25 was terrible compared to 15. The first madden on ps3 was bare bones too but survived.

We will see a much deeper game in 16. From the backlash it's gotten which is probably a blessing in disguise it will probably be the best ever, just as madden 15 is the best madden in my opinion.
Puck physics? They were 6 years late on that buddy. Lets not settle for their incompetence .

Or sell it for half, if U have not enough resources.

I have NHL '14 for PS3 and NHL View to edit the rosters. I'm probably alone on this, but I could honestly care less if they ever make another game.

As conspiratorial as it sounds, i wouldn't be shocked if half of the reason the player creation/roster editing has always been so underwhelming (despite reaching an all-time low in 15, it was pretty much the exact same from 07-14 with the addition of a girl's head model. The ability to make truly unique players was lacking, especially when compared with more robust editors like FIFA's (GameFace, while not the best, is still miles ahead of NHL's) and then The Show (the ability to actually 'sculpt' faces with the various sliders makes it possible for some to get amazingly close to their real life counterparts) and then actually easily edit and share the rosters would probably have kept even more people from jumping on NHL15 if they could just get rosters easily into NHL14 from a shared market, or just copy it from a flash drive without much effort on either system.
I admit i was tempted, not wanting to try and edit all of the rosters by hand, and not being sure of Revamped Team's wanting to go through the headaches of creating improved rosters all over again, but in the end, i decided i would just as easily see if Revamped improved the NHL14 rosters later on, because from everything i had seen, the gameplay of NHL15 didn't look different enough to warrant picking it up, even with the new rosters.
