Just so you guys know, goals total CAN be seen while in the game. But you have to pause it, and go to the boxscore screen. It was like that in 15 on XB1.

But yeah I have a hard time seeing they let this one go. **** has any of these devs ever played Be a GM? It's sooo annoying they don't show goals and assist count.

I guess that's better than nothing...

Just curious on what ever happened to David Littman who was producer of the NHL series for awhile and an actual hockey player himself. Since this Rammer guy took over the NHL series has been in a serious nosedive.

I believe he got pulled from NHL to turn around the NBA franchise. I think they saw his success with the NHL series and wanted him to work similar magic on the NBA one. It was frustrating, because if I remember right, he was a player himself (goalie, I think) and it seems in my opinion that the further he got from the game, the more arcade-like, and less realistic it got.

Edit: He definitely played goalie. Some time at Boston College, and even 3 games in the NHL.

In keeping with the season goal totals, I have always been baffled in EA's GM mode with the player career statistics. The tables are always spaced so far apart, you can only look at a handful of stats on screen at once, and I have never understood why they have never included the player's team as part of the career stats pages. Once you get deep into a GM career, this stuff should be a given to add immersion to the mode.

The NHL has really rolled out an insane number of stats in recent years, but even if you wanted to keep it fairly basic, something like the attached image could and should be pretty standard.

It's a little thing, but those little things adding up is why I do my GM'ing in Eastside Hockey Manager and not EA's NHL effort.

Played BAGM last night, and cumulative totals were not in the game. There was, however, a cool presentation bit for Wednesday Night Rivalries.

They are not shown when a player scores. Disappointing.

Played BAGM last night, and cumulative totals were not in the game. There was, however, a cool presentation bit for Wednesday Night Rivalries.

This is just annoying because it was in the game for years and to remove it and now exclude it just defies logic. EA for all the eye candy and returned modes are still missing very basic common sense aspects of the NHL and hockey in general.

5 man celebrations
Board play
It makes you wonder if the devs ever watched a game in their life but I'm sure it's more about offline play just not being very important to them

lets get a patch on this ea it is very important to gm mode.
stats are what make us play these games. I wish they had personal best for goals and assist . Oh yeah they did in nhl 94. shame on ea for taking it out

Thanks for the answer guys. I was 95% sure that its not in from the videos I was watching last week. I was hoping it was sneaked in with the last patch and not mentioned in the patch notes.

I'm really liking the presentation this year and this feature would be real icing on the cake for me.

Btw, I've tweeted and sent messages to EA about this issue and got an answer saying that they'll pass it along to the programmers and its something that they'll look at. Might mean something or it might just be a canned response, who know. Hopefully they'll include this in a future patch or in NHL 17 at the latest.

Well, I just got done spending a couple hours just simply checking out what is new to Gm mode from an in-game presentation standpoint.

It makes me insane they dont have season goals AND assist totals when guys score. Thats infuriating. Like someone else posted, they should already have taken it a step further and show where certain players are in relation to the entire league. For example, Stamkos (21) 3rd in NHL in goals, stuff like that. But, I would settle for a simple goal total when a goal happens. Damn it!

On a positive note, I only played like 3 or 4 games. And, in one game I played the Islanders and before they game they showed Ryan Pulock, and it said 1st NhL game and actually had a quote from him in morning skate. There was a big portion of the pre-game dedicated to this. This is the type of stuff NHL GM mode desperately needs. I thought it was awesome and based on all the little cool things I was seeing, I thought season goal totals would be a given this year, and they arent. Hard to understand.

Lastly, another HUGE improvement is every player is fully customizable including attributes and potential, so before you start a GM mode, you can change the necessary prospects and players to represent there actual "real" potential. Which to me is enormous. The interface has improved alot as well. Its less clunky and the player screens are very solid. A little disaapointed it looks similar, but alot cleaner.

Also, fantasy draft is very good. In past years, it seemed undoable. All the prospects and young good players would last all draft. But, now I seen guys like Dylan Strome and Max Domi going in the 4th round. So, I may actually try a run woth fantasy teams because the AI intelligence level seems far superior in roster building that any other year. And the interface while your drafting is very solid.

Some good positives, if they could simply add in game goal and assists total, this game has a shot to be the best NHL ever, but not likely to see a patch for that.

Tthe morale stuff also seems pretty cool. Im thinking it may get repetitive, but I think its a step in the right direction. Obviously, managing a locker room in the NhL os a huge aspect of a GM and coache's job. So, to see that twist this year and actually messing around with it, I think its a welcome addition. But, I would trade it in a heartbeat for a simple goal total when a guy scores in game.

You also still CANNOT play the all star game or even see the box score. I would like to meet the person in charge of these decisions at EA. Despite all of the very good improvements, missing basic things such as playing a damn all star game and seeing how many goals a guy has when he scores, just feels like Im neing slapped in the mouth by the people making this game.
