I haven't played in GM mode for a long, long time.
In NHL16 can you get fired?

Would be awesome if the home teams real PA announcers worked the games.

The PA guy for my team(Preds), Paul McCann, has tweeted at EA before that he'd love to record audio for the game. That would be awesome to hear specific game presentation like that.

i like to use two rosters, one thats up to date and they other a legend roster.

So why can't i use those legends that are in the game in other modes, and when im creating my legends roster most of them, there jersey is retired so i cant create them.

We should be able to turn retired jerseys number off or on.

I understand that you dont have the right too alot of legends, but where are those legends from 3 to 4 years ago where you did have there rights.

Gretzky, Lemieux, Yzerman to name a few, and what about the habs centennial team

More realistic AI/CPU on both offense and defense, positioning & general game play overall. That being said... So very sick & tired of... As a defender, any move you make against an AI puck carrier approaching your blue line & he instantly without fail in in the single beat of a hummingbirds wing makes the perfect counter move. It's like playing against & trying to body check a dragon fly. I don't expect them to skate right in to you but as I said, more realistic. If you're fast enough switching players & move to just the right locations, they will get stuck in an endless loop between the red line and your blue line trying to enter the zone.
I think a huge thing for defenders would be the ability to make contact without checking.

If you watch the NHL, the body is usually not used for big hits...it's just to pressure guys towards the boards, block paths to the net, and to slow a player down. Then they try to shove a player off the puck, or use the stick to knock it loose.

In game, you can't do that. Players just bounce off of you, without an real issue in carrying the puck. Couple that with an inability to really aim your poke checks, or control your stick as a means to check opponents sticks to knock a puck loose, or accurately lift their stick to break up a pass, and you're left with a very rough defense, because you lose so much of what makes good defenders good. Angling players towards the boards, blocking passes effectively with their stick and skates without having to drop to the ice and being able to use their stick to keep opponents from getting clean shots.

So much of defense in the game is hoping you get in the way of a shot, or that the AI decides to intercept a pass, instead of just having the guy you're "controlling" watch it float by.

Hmm, I think they really worked on this in 17 and it works quite good. It is very easy to get the puck of the offensive player without crushing him into the middle of the next week.

So I'm really loving NHL 17. Only a couple of wishes for me. And they are on the Create A Team area.

                  Mascot option for your team.
Ability to edit uniforms after you start a Franchise.

Also, you can position lock in Franchise, but I'd also like to see a player lock option.

That is really my only "wants" right now. The game really plays great for me.

Can you put the controls for classic back with hit stick back on the right stick and big check triangle? Don't know why this needed to be changed.

Atlanta as a relocation option in franchise. I used to buy this game every year but it's hard to follow the sport when you don't have a home town team. So I have only purchased it one since the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg. I was excited for this year's version when I heard that there would be relocation options, but I was extremely disappointed to find that Atlanta was not one of the options

You can creat an Atlanta team then swap them out with the team you want to relocate. Sort of "do it yourself" relocation. I did that with my Memphis Firebirds Franchise.

Zambonis at every intermission and before and after. Drivable (but on track) so you can do entire ice rink or press button and goes to intermission menu like normal.

My top wish is to revamp the ratings. Get rid of the overall, and assign each player 7 or 8 letter grades for certain attributes like an RPG. (Maybe Offense, Defense, Skating, Passing, Shooting, Puck Skills, and Physical Play)

                              Incorporate a development system.

Add generated faces for players that don't have a portrait, and change the current portraits so that you can't see the team jersey.

For be a pro, add a living space (from cheap apartment to the penthouse) and let us make a trophy room, buy cool swag, and maybe incorporate a social aspect where you hang out with other players and local celebrities, etc.
