I don't like what they did with the tuner revision. AI was much better, and now it's just buffoonery out there.

What the differences between this tuner and the previous?
Is this the 3rd tuner to be released since launch?

Which one is the better of them?

I believe this is the third. I believed the last one prior to revision was by far the best, but it seems you can only use the latest or revert to the original default tuning that shipped with the game.

The Sept 28th tuner I thought was fantastic. So I went out and bought the game , played yesterday and it was not like 2 days ago.

They'll get it going. I do agree that their should be an online tuner and an offline tuner. And we should have access to use all previous tuners if we so choose like the 360/ps3 versions

I hope they look into providing users the option to choose from the various tuners they drop.
You're probably never going to placate the masses with one all encompassing tuner.
Just look at this board; some loved the 28th tuner, while others hated it and love the new one.

It'd be nice to have a choice.

Exactly, we had that on last gen...,don't know why we can't have that on current gen....this game has so much potential ruined by this frigging tuner it's unbelievable.

One of the most confusing things to me is why would EA bother releasing a tuner that addressed things that nobody was complaining about? I understand their intent was to make a better game for us but the old saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it" applies here. The game was not perfect but there was nowhere near as much negativity and complaining surrounding this game prior to the two tuners released on September 28 and 30th as there is now.

From what I played last night, that feeling of the AI cheating was back, in my opinion. They didn't dump, they just kept like side stepping me and working their way to the slot without anything I could do, they kept burying the puck.

I will say this, I have the AI difficulty adjustment slider at 0 and after the tuner it was at 3. When I put it back it felt a bit better. They also put AI Learning at 3, which I usually have at 1.

Otherwise, I can't put my finger on it. But it was more frustrating than the day before. Still better than 15 and those prior. But different

I'm not 100% sure but i believe there is some discussion that the sliders are reversed.

Haha unbelievable...just played the cpu where instead of dumping the puck into my zone, they retreated into their own zone while facing their own goalie and passing it and continued skating until they were almost directly in front of their own goalie....amazing how 2 days ago, I was loving this game and now it's so broken, I can't even stand to see the NHL 16 logo in my Xbox hub when I turn on my Xbox one....I seriously hope they fix this. It's like the only game I play. I bought an Xbox one really for NHL 15 so this pisses me off even more.

Been asking for separate online/offline tuners for years now so if its do able I think it would be the perfect thing to meet everyone needs and please stop over writing over base tuners .

I havent posted in a while as I wanted to get a good feel for the update as I personally enjoyed the game immensely before 9/28 on basically on allstar default in playoff mode offline and now not so much though to be fair I see what EA was trying to do but I personally like a more laid back hu gameplay .

Now even though the last tuner is improved I find the game now plays a bit boosted where speed is used and cpu scores when they want when they go in turbo mode and are now goalies horrible and many times I seen a total collapsed when the game is 1-1 and then they score on 4 shots in a row ,Tilted Ice ?

I think another said less human feel as I find the game more robotic but Im sure slider tweaker will like the volume added to the depth of some sliders .

Its really disappointing each year EA releases the game that I love on near default out of the box and then after a game update or this year a overwriting of tuners our options to enjoy this game with our own style and skill is lost .

I not a tweaker or a slider guy so I dumbed the game down to play on Pro to remove the burst and made the goalies tougher but its just not the same so I guess Ill take a break from the game or work on HUT trophies as the organic gameplay I enjoyed is gone but hopefully EA can repost a pre 9/28 tuner .

Hey sham, in another thread CupCrazyManiac discovered a way to get the game back to somewhat normal. I'm not sure what system you play on but go into your saved data and delete the user profile for NHL16. DONT DELETE THE GAME. Just user profile. You will still have your rosters and be back to day 1 release tuner. It plays great and the only thing it's missing is the tuner update that fixed penalties but I would rather have the game play good and lack of penalties then the garbage we have now. At least until they fix it I hope. Check out my thread on Thoughts on tuner for more info and credit to CupCrazyManiac for the fix

Thanks Jake Im on PS4 but wont I get a prompt for the most current tuner again ? I never seem to DL any tuner it just gives me the prompt game update and then next game I play changes ?

Ill give it a shot as I never had lack of penalties issue and I would just keep the game online but I have to have current rosters and with no roster share no way Im doing hundred of transactions .
