I still have Telus modem hooked up and all my internet tv and phone. I also have a shaw modem that I only use for ps4 (in till Telus is fixed) I am super busy as I have two daughters in ringette and my boy in hockey so at the arena like 6 nights a week but soon as time allows me I will forward you my trace route front Telus modem and trace route from shaw modem than you will be able to see both from exact same location just out side Calgary
Are you with TELUS and having lag issue with EASHL ?

Re: Are you with TELUS and having lag issue with EASHL ?
Not at this moment. We don't think the issue is on our side but I let the senior guys take a look at the Shaw traceroute. They took the exact same route except they didn't get a ping spike @ prolexic.com. We are not sure what this mean at this moment. I really hope they are not throttling us. There is so many variables that comes into play. I would need to have more Shaw traceroute in order to confirm whether we are getting slow down on purpose by prolexic.com.
That being said, ICMP packet have often the lowest priority in router and it could only mean that at the time the traceroute was done, the router was not that busy. It not very conclusive. It doesn't indicate anything at the moment. I still believe the issue is on EA side but unlike them, we are trying to do our diligence before pointing finger.
Edit : as I posted this reply. I got some interesting information coming my way that might explain why TELUS user are more prone to this issue. More later.Last edited by Drakar; 10-13-2015, 02:55 PM.Comment

Re: Are you with TELUS and having lag issue with EASHL ?
I'm fairly certain the issue is in the game code itself.
I mean, I get a split second delay playing HUT in every single game. It drives me nuts. It feels to me like a 200-400ms delay.
In EASHL, that 200-400ms delay added to the network lags gives us that horrid experience (the weakest link determines latency in peer to peer).
For fun I popped in NHL15 next Gen on my xbone yesterday and there was no lag in versus what-so-ever. Passes were crisp and released when I pressed/let go and not delayed as it is for me in NHL 16.
Do you guys feel the lag even in HUT and versus like I do? In every game?
I think there is an issue with how the controller input are received by the game itself, that wasn't in the beta. I remember 100% thinking how the menus were improved in the beta; with the full game, NHL 15's menus are actually FASTER than NHL16's.
Button press don't register and even the frickin menu show this input lag.
That's why I'm thinking it might not be related to the network itself.Comment

Re: Are you with TELUS and having lag issue with EASHL ?
OK I got some update early this morning. We re-balanced some traffic between Telus and our ZAYO L3 pipe last night for both our Seattle and New-York connection. The link was saturated. I am busy today so I can't try it but please let me know if you have seen an improvement since we made the change.
The problem might still be on EA side but at least this should help.Comment
