Moose in regards to my ECHL comment, I am disappointed it isn't in franchise mode for the reason of depth of control. Being able to progress ECHL players to maybe help the AHL team. I wanted this for the same reason The Show includes single A. Many MLB players never get the call, but just having that control to help your farm system grow and see your affiliates do well is what I was excited for.

I think it shows with several of their titles that they insist on rebranding stuff they've done before and call it new. EA knows that they can package together a game, and it will be purchased. They have no competition to be concerned about, so if you are wanting your NHL/NFL fix you're stuck with them. It's sad that you see the same questions asked for YEARS, and they don't address them. They yearly say that the fan's input is key to them. Then why if you explore questions asked over the last several years, have the customer's requests been ignored?

Needless to say I went from being excited for September to now I don't care when it comes out. I'll wait and see what the reviews say, and when most likely I hear it's a clone of 16, I'll have saved myself $60.

It may only be my opinion, but that post is more than extremely accurate, its deserved. EASports games aren't brand new, they've been making these games for over 15 years. And after 15 years if they still give the same press release, with the same descriptions of "we've made them better", coupled with old features removed and old features added to sound like new features, gamers have a right to be upset over a $60 purchase year after year.
I just want a hockey and football game where I can spend more time playing my seasons then I spend changing my sliders.

I completely agree. How many years now have players asked for roster share? For new or editable goalie masks? For a defensive skill stick? This development team is not listening to the community at all and almost seem belligerent in doing stuff no one wants, this year's example being Draft Champions inclusion. Who was clamouring for that over a bunch of other stuff like online league functionality or a decent upgrade (I don't think the spreadsheet nonsense of ticket prices and relocation to be a worthwhile upgrade) to Be A GM?

i think its insane that they have no clue ......why the hell do you even spend anytime adding new features to the game when its not even at the point that it was for the 360....(in my opinion nhl legacy for the 360 blows the xbox one version out of the water by a LONG shot) ...they should be working on getting the game to the same point the 360 version is but with better graphics cause its on a better machine....and if the idiots would just add roster sharing then atleast it would enable us to mostly fix their piss poor gameplay......its funny how if a company puts out a good quality project the community is completely against pirating the game...but based on the piece of crap EA has put out (especially recently) i wouldn't pay for the game as it is only worth pirating....might as well steal from them as they have been stealing from the hockey community for years......fire whoever is running the hockey department ....replace them with one of the guys off this site who actually plays the game and lives and breathes it. obviously they are too stupid to realize that if they wanted to improve the game and boost sales all the answers they need are in the forums we tell them what we want give it to us and watch profits soar...

No roster sharing is a real disappointment. I'm holding out hope that the new sliders matter, but if those fail to live up to expectations, this game may be a no-buy again.

Roster sharing and slider sets are about all I can do to get accurate offline play thanks to the likes of the Revamped Roster team. They made the game enjoyable and accurate. EA seems intent on keeping that from happening. They just don't seem to care about real customization outside of EASHL and HUT. It seems like things only get done if they can first and foremost benefit the online community, and that's a real letdown.

What I really like about Diamond Dynasty is to create my own logo and jerseys, so my team feels like my team and see what other players' teams look like. You feel like you play a different team every time. It would have been really fun for HUT to include the team creation part instead of playing with only real jerseys/arenas we get from cards. If they really want to keep jerseys and arenas in their card sets, why not add customizeable items to the cards collections. (ex. Letter logos/Animal logos/Color pallets/Arena parts) as rare gold cards. People would still have to get the right cards to customize their logo/jersey/arena like they want, which would create a need for those in the marketplace, but at least we would not see the same 10 jerseys /arena combo in every HUT games like we do now.

I hope EA adds in roster sharing like they did with player editing last year. People kept posting about player editing last year and EA added it in late in the game. Please, EA. Have a heart.

How does a little thing like setting prices on vendors and such become such a priority over things customers actually want like roster sharing and gameplay improvements? Baffling.

You have to have a server that holds all that data. They don't want to pay for the cost and upkeep. It could be minimal, but it impacts the bottom line. Roster share would be great, but the only mode I play now is eashl with online leagues. Franchise mode and the AI have made it difficult to enjoy over the years.

Even worse, we had this exact same features 10 years ago on the PS2 generation games. They're not new, they're pulling out old lines of code that they updated to be compatible with the current mode. I've owned and played the ever-living heck out of the majority of NHL games going back to NHLPA 1992-93 and it's sickening how many times this franchise has regressed. NHL 16 on the Xbone actually plays worse than NHL 10 on 360. That's insane. I get that yearly franchises have off-years, but you can't have an off-decade which is what EA is rapidly approaching.

And at a certain point, when year after year they ignore the most commonly requested features, loyal customers like myself have a right to be angry and want to see changes in the development team. If they weren't in a default monopoly, they'd be getting absolutely steamrolled by a competitor or they'd be forced to continuously improve their game. Instead we have a development team that seems to be going the Henry Ford route of "Any color you want as long as it's black."
