        The most important part in adjusting sliders is being comfortable with dynamic adjustments, so having something at 54 one game but then 56 another is ok.

        As you continue to play, you're dynamically improving. I've never understood those who feel a slider set ever needs to be locked--that's a recipe for potential issues and probably winning way more games than you should be.

          Seen people talking about not seeing much of a difference between teams, but that got me thinking.

          One, can we adjust team strats in main menu this year for each team? Or do we still have to just play a season and control all 30 teams to adjust those?

          With that said, if that's not the case, couldn't we create slider sets geared towards the team we are playing? Since we can save multiple presets and rename them. Although, how many presets can we save?

            Interesting idea.

            One slider challenge going forward, imo, is going to be keeping the game sloppy but still allowing the skill players enough chances to produce which probably comes down to power plays being around three per game.

                You think with these slider options we could get some better open ice 2 player collisions that result in both being wiped out? I remember these happening sometimes when they first introduced the checking physics and since then the players just stumble over.

                    What I like to say, there is a lot of possibilities to made a whole game play a lot more better if the people have courage enough to thikn out of the box, not thinking the overall ratings of the players, but instead how they perform on the ice when you actually play the game. Gameplay settings and Attribute editing of the rosters needs to be thinked as a package what makes a gameplay. Roster editing needs to be seen not only the way to separate players more from each other, but as the important tool to make gameplay much more enjoyable and realistic. Special edited roster needs the special edited Gameplay settings which works with them because they affect together. If you set all the players acceleration attribute down to 36 you could maximize the acceleration slider from gameplay sliders. Same goes with the Gameplay settings Game Speed slider. Setting the players by roster editing a lot slower you could make a gameplay faster, it gives a bit more faster animations, so the game feels much more fluid, but it's not too fast.

                    I have fixed many problems of checking, passing, pass-intercepting, shooting, and skating by thinking a bit out of the box. By thinking the roster editing as a tool for the gameplay improvement (not only the player separation, which it is too of course)

                    This is a good idea. I did the same thing a couple yrs ago when the hitting was too much that is was tackle rugby. I adjusted every player on every team roster hitting power (I think it was) 50 from where they were (so it was same gap) and the hitting was way better.


                    The yr after that I used attribute at 6 instead of 3 and that made the hitting physics way better, so I didn't need to do that work to edit player.


                    I like your idea about the overall speed as we use 0 for gamespeed and want to have a higher acceleration without screwing the overall speed.


                    Look at my sliders page after the slider section I have found other ways to think outside the box and use certain slider for other things then what their labelled for.

                        The Incidental contact slider under Checking is the slider that has this. Trust me, you will see two players and even more colliding a ton depending on where you have the slider. If you have it on max guys will be falling everywhere haha.

                        The sliders truly are a game changer guys. I can just tell it from the two games I've played so far. I haven't checked on the Team strategies yet. My guess is they are still only usable in play now and season, but maybe we will be pleasantly surprised.

                              Man, this looks good. It might even be a little TOO sloppy for me- guys skating into the boards and falling down and I would like to see guys handling the puck just a bit better but this looks awesome. I can't wait to pick it up. Even maxing out the aggression last year, I never felt the CPU would check me enough. I'm seeing the CPU real aggressive here regarding checking compared to past iterations, which I love. I've always said I wanted 20 minute periods, but that is a long time haha. Last year I did 12 minute periods. Maybe I'll do 15 minute periods this year. Can't wait!
