A few people brought it up but it was never answered. I'm on the fence about buying nhl, and my deciding factor is sadly if you can change the Wild to the North Stars. Can anyone with the game answer if you can? Thanks in advance!

I made a very spiffy North Stars team from their green-yellow-black days and used their 1967 jersey as an alternate. Best part is that one of the pants templates features the stars on the side. You can sub them for the Wild when you start your franchise.

Can I create a team, like the expansion Las Vegas team, and place them in the Pacific division for franchise mode, but, not play as that team? I would really like to add this team to my franchise but I don't want to have to use the team.

Also, if I use NHL players from actual teams to make my own expansion draft, will those players be duplicated in franchise mode?

You can do that, but you will have to replace a team.

Also, if you use players from a team you swap out, then you won't have duplicates.

Damn. I was hoping to be able to add w/ out subtraction. Like a DIY expansion. Oh well, just have to wait for NHL 18.

I'm super late to this thread, but really jonesing for some high school hockey. I apologize, but I didn't see this answered in this thread. Is there a limit to how many user-created teams you can use in a franchise? And, do I have to choose from pre-set team nicknames? And cities? Or can I just enter text and make them up?

Reason I'm asking -- I'd love to recreate 30 Wisconsin high school teams and play a franchise with one of them. I know the uniforms and everything won't be perfect, but if I can at least get team names and basic colors put together, I'd be thrilled.

You have to use the city names they have listed. But it is a pretty big list. But the team nickname can be anything. They do have a "spoken " name field but the two can be different.

Oh, and yes, you could replace all team with created ones if you wanted.

Our family has 3 profiles on the PS4. In each of our own Profiles each of us created a custom team using Create a Team. How can we play each other? Each team only shows up under each individual profile and is not visible to the other profiles.

Can we copy Created Teams to other profiles? None share the same players.
