Re: NHL 17 Patch Available Now, Here Are the Details
So I'm in no means great at this game and I'd consider myself fairly average, I used to play hockey and the NHL games religiously until about NHL 13. I played a little of 16 when it was free in the Vault and I've been playing the EA Access 17 version and enjoying it. I don't really like hockey anymore but I might actually buy this game on Tuesday.
With that being said, it seems like after the patch it's impossible for me to score. I've played 3 separate Draft Champions and I've lost in the first game all 3 times. I just played against the Carolina Hurricanes and Cam Ward was like a God, he had 28 saves and shut me out. I tried everything, I even tried the super cheesy cut in front of the net goals like in NHL 99.
I definitely need to get better at this game but is anyone else having this issue? Also, my goalie seems to let in the absolute worst goals ever. Simple, dinky wrist shots go in from the other team. I played the Devils last night and they won 7-2. They scored 4 goals in the span of 2 minutes all from terrible wrist shots where my goalie had no reflexes, I was using Carey Price. My defense could've been better but even still, they were really slow shots that just went right past him, he didn't even move to stop them.
Again, maybe it's just me but these past few games have been super frustrating.
