Only played 2 games so far, 1-1 .900+, ~1.00 GAA

    Here's a link to my Be A Pro Series if you're interested >> https://youtu.be/iHIjOkd3wOQ
Tons of goalie tips there as well

I'm rocking Superstar Mode and 4 minute periods as you face a good amount of shots and it keeps the vid relatively short if you go to OT/shootout.

Knowing how the AI works and some of the plays they like to run help make things easier. They like to run the tie up, cross crease play as well as the win to the D-man one touch pass to winger for 1-T. Also helps that they don't do wrap-arounds meaning you rarely have to hold the post letting you play the pass a little bit more making cross saves easier

Re: How is your BaP Goalie going

Got some time yesterday to play/test some more goalie.
I am getting the hang of some things, but I have found some parts of the game showing nuisances.

First, I'm playing on no tuner, pro level with 2/4 sim, 6 min periods now. No slider changes.
      6games in.

Seen no one sided games with this goalie. Each game I have is a tight one. All games are 3-4, 5-4. no low scoring.
Each time there is a power-play I play like a god, very few power play goals go in (only if I do not pay attention or the AI gets lucky), and is one of the main reasons my GAA is not entirely shot to bits.
      My biggest issue is this:
Each time my team scores, the AI kicks in and it gets way harder to keep the net clean.
Every time my team lead the game, the AI will do the same thing over and over: Equalize fast and dont let up, and once they score (which they eventually will) calm down. My team will then just go back to hogging the puck and play on the other team's half until we score one, or I give up an out of position trick goal (see below) when my team mates loose the puck.
Once we get into overtime (4 of 6 matches have been OT), I just seem to have harder time keeping the net clean? Is this just me? My AI teammates just don't protect the net anymore..

Im not entirely sure whats going on with this. My new goalie has 5 games played on 6 minute periods and I have lost each of them either in the first minute of OT or in the last minute of 3rd period.
At this point I have no wins as this goalie. Either I completely suck as a goalie right now, or the game is having some issues translating/relating to a human goalie.
It seems the AI on each team is programmed completely the same way and therefore they have the same response input to what is going on in a game but this is just pure speculation.

Im seeing the AI using the same move on me to get me out of position:
First, one of the wingers will skate all the way to the corner side of the rink - goal post, and try to trick-shoot the puck into the goal on the back-line (if Im not blocking this route completely).
Normally the AI picks the glove side of the goal for its winger.
The shot will be almost horizontal to the corner of the goal, and even when I post up, the AI can slide one in, either just before I post up on the back side of my pads or because Im not in Butterfly post.
Now Im so used to this move that instead the AI passes it through - from left to right through my d-man and performs a one timer with his other winger. I can save this with a left trigger move (move faster), but then AI center/ Dman just takes the rebound and scores on an open goal because more than 50% of the time I will be out of position by now.

Tonight I will try to figure this out.
Hoping to soon find the right way to stop these moves.
Im going back to training a bit more, before I try to right the ship.
Im trying to not mess with the sliders so much, but I might try some variations to clean up the trick goals and the puck hogging (and the lack of random shots on my goal)
Hopefully I can manage to win a few games. At least one?
I might go back to the first BaP Goalie and see if things work better there.
Learning by doing so to speak.

I've given up on 10 minutes, so I converted them in to 9 Minutes, I think I was just lucky for 9 Minute periods, in 10 minutes it seemed like I'd score 2 they'd score 4 goals, anyways goals just was going back in fourth, I've decided to move it to 9 Minutes, I posted the adjustments in my Slider Thread, have fun all!, anyways you should see alot of shots, I'd say about 10-40 in that ratio.

          Found my problem.
Seems the tuner was downloaded after all!

I uninstalled it from my ps4 and now all is much better! :-D

Re: How is your BaP Goalie going

So I started up with a new goalie and did it with nothing changed.

I have 7 games and its going pretty good. loosing some and winning some. progressing the goalie, though my low stick saves are tumbling.

Had a landslide of a game. have not seen this kind of a result before in 17.

            Yep..
I won by a landslide with my goalie!
I think it was my third game in this evening. I just stared at the screen lol.
Have seen some big wins and some close ones now.
I really suggest uninstalling the tuners and just play goalie on 5 min period folks. I thought things was getting weird with my last post, but after finding the error of my ways I must say the game play some pretty good BaP Goalie atm.

Im in a nailbiter against Everett right now, so I better get back to it!

Re: How is your BaP Goalie going

Just started a new goalie after finding sliders that work amazing for me, my stats are amazing, 1.72 GAA and a 936 Sv% on superstar difficulty! Loving it now, we're winning games 4-2, 3-1, and so on! Only problem Im having now is that even after the great games, the coach still lowered my role into a time share... but still pretty good for a 16 yr old goalie!

that's cool , I was thinking of super star for goalie sliders, with the new tuner and patch, but... I just don't have the heart to do it , what do you think of superstar's game play with out the patch and tuner, if you're still doing this ?

I use the latest tuner and patch, I play on low game speed but crank up the puck handler speed up to 80, player speed at 25 and pich handler agility to 85 and turn their deking up, turn down shot power by 10, ai learning and all strat adjustments off, also attributes down to 2, it seems sometimes slow but I'm always facing 25-40 shots a game, 3 shutouts now, worst game was against London, 3 ga from marner and Tkachuk, won 5-3 though 40 shots against with big saves all game

Re: How is your BaP Goalie going

Key tips I learned from days of frustration to stop glitchy guaranteed goals against: go to the thread on here about goalie tips, learn them and make it habit, they become very helpful once you perfect them
                      1. on the rush, challenge the puck carrier and always leave the red shot lane on the short side but never so much that you can't catch up, pressing ls hard in the direction of the shot lane as soon as he shoots, the ls puts you in that perfect positioning, if you're behind then you have to use rs, try to avoid it though, also keeping short side open makes him think about the shot while giving you advantage on the one timer
                      2. On rebounds in tight, use spread eagle WHILE HOLDING PRECISION OFF! He slides his legs back to the post to block It off instead of dropping straight down, they seemed to have fixed the save, making it more effective. (I use it all the time when I'm near the end of the game with only 1 ga to figure out what plays it's effective on and not so much) Plus they always look cool
                      3. And my favorite saves Always hug post wide, go to vh at trapezoid for xp, then immediately go paddle down, if he skates for a wraparound, do post slide to paddle down (or spread eagle for fun, but can be risky sometimes )and its an instant guaranteed save every time, if he tries to cut to the front, just go paddle down and he'll stop it too. paddle down is 100x more effective and also gives you maneuverability from the post without over playing and leaving a wide open net, this is how I stopped marner on a partial break, he cut in front and held on till other side of crease, i did rs slide, he toe drags around to backhand top shelf, i had to go spread eagle to stop it, keeping the 4-3 lead, the single most exciting save I've ever made in any game!

Re: How is your BaP Goalie going

Im having a ton of fun with goalie. However, has anyone has any issues with being given less starts due to bad Save average or Goals against?

Im around 14 games in, and in my last outing I gave up 4 goals (we still won 6-4). Coach told me I would see less starts. I have simmed 4 games so far this season, sp I geuss it cannot be me simming too many games?

I tried to save scum the last game, and ended up with 2 goals. Still got the boot by the coach.

Any ideas what is causing this?

am thinking of lowering a few stuff with my 7 minute sliders, but I do like the hitting on the boards and stuff and people be bumped in to each other and falling down, but when it comes to having best Save percentages and gaa is probably not good enough, so am gonna make them better now. , I'll do it after I work today , also like to mention why am doing the adjustments again, but I could see goalies ain't ready for this kind of goalie slider yet, or nor prepared for this kind of goaltending yet, so I'll make them easyer for you guys and us and everyone else who plays goalie mode.

I'm a 64 overall as a 16 yr old as well, he starts off as 59, if I can keep up this kind of progression I should be in the 80s by my draft, mid 80s after off season going into nhl preseason, also will probably depend on my playoff runs as well, if I can go deep, I imagine I can get even higher!
