    Fatigue

Hi -- new to nhl on ps4-- I'm horrible at the game (just cannot play defense-- but now I have notice my lines are all fatigued halfway through the period (i usually play 10min periods) Part of it might be me being awful and spending so much time in my own zone-- but Usually I try to do 60-90 sec shifts with my 4 lines and they recover maybe half of their stamina by their next shift
    Anyone else experiencing this ?

On 4/4 full sim yes.. but since going to 3/4 not at all.

You can also mess with the fatigue sliders as they are in the middle (50) on 3/4 and much less on 4/4 full sim.

I'm not sure all the slider differences between the two.. but for me, I don't lose the puck anymore when skating and the ping pong puck is gone. The fatigue was driving me nuts too, since my 4th line was playing as much as the other lines. Try out 3/4 for a game and see what you think... or take Fiddy's advice and change the fatigue sliders.

            Re: Fatigue

My issue has always been the cpu never plays fatigued. Seems like they have the same speed & acceleration even with high effect setting.

^Yep, CPU has perfect fatigue monitoring somehow as if the CPU coach is a 10x Jack Adams winner.

                Re: Fatigue

I haven't had a chance to do this yet, but I am going to next time I play. I'm going to move fatigue effect way up and also move fatigue recovery way up. The thinking is that these athletes are in ridiculous physical shape and don't stay tired for long, but if you leave guys out there or they are caught out there you can see them tire. The reason I want to move recovery up is twofold, first these guys recover quickly and second, there are three 2 minute breaks each period for tv timeouts that we don't account for in the game. I'm just curious if this will make the game better. I'll report back in the next few days.

                  Re: Fatigue

So I played one game tonight with both fatigue sliders pushed up. I liked that I was able to play pretty normal and roll three lines for a while. My better players got more minutes as they should. I certainly mixed my fourth line in so I think I like this setting. Didn't help me win though as I got pasted 8-1 by the Ducks.

                    Re: Fatigue

This is something i am going to have to try because i was ready for giving up on this game after only a week of getting it. Every game my defense felt like it was always dog tired which lead to a lot of unnecessary turnovers and being pinned in my own zone. I had played about with fatigue sliders but it didn't make much difference so hopefully this helps a bit.

                      Re: Fatigue

So I played a game with my settings for fatigue last night, a 4-1 win over Carolina. I really like the way it plays. If you leave guys out too long or you get hemmed in your zone you can see the fatigue kick in, but the guys recover faster. I'm going to have to check the ice time numbers for games before making this switch but I'm going to guess the ice time is pretty spread evenly. I looked last night and my first line guys (Giroux, Simmonds, etc) played around 20 minutes while my fourth line guys between 8-12 (depending on if they kill penalties). That's right in line with the real Flyers numbers the last two games.

What are your fatigue slider numbers at? Would love to try them out.

                          Fatigue

I have Fatigue effect 90 (CPU)/85 (human) and Fatigue Recovery at 70/75. I'm playing in All-Star and I feel like the CPU get a boost which is the reason for the higher numbers for the CPU. I just pushed them up to these settings and it seems to work. Played a good game against the Habs today, losing 3-2 (plus they added two empty netters).
