Patch & Tuner Changes??

Has anyone noticed any major changes with the most recent patch and tuner? Has anyone made any major changes to their sliders? I thought I had a good set before and can't notice any big changes besides the fact that the AI has gone back to master stick lifters and poke checkers. I've also noticed that my D AI has become much dumber. I've actually had opponent breakaways started due to my D-men running into each other and effectively taking themselves out of the play.

Has anyone noticed anything? I think if it wasn't for the fighting being fixed in the off season I would've avoided the new patch and tuner.

I'm having trouble since the new patch & tuner.....actually set my tuner back to 1.01 in the slider settings to get back to where I was pre patch/tuner

There's things I like about the new patch/tuner.....but there are things that bugged me and I started getting tweak crazy trying to find the right formula to make it FEEL like it did before the patch/tuner

* Skating - I can't get that right feel and balance of speed, weightiness, turning, etc

* I have this awkward feel to passing and making my player not pause when receiving a pass....something is just off

* The CPU seems to have a rocket up their *** and I have no time to setup plays

I hate when this happens....because I was so happy prior to this patch/tuner with the feel of the play and the games I was getting

What they really need to do is give you the ability to select from any tuner or patch.....put all the updates out there and give users the ability to pick and choose what works for them....or god forbid not make wholesale changes to parts of the game that were not broken. It's like they only need to tweak 3 things, but make subtle changes to 15 things that throw everyones sliders out of whack

It does have a strange feeling to it. And as much as I want to use the Flyers Stadium series jersey, I'd be willing to give it up if going back to the old tuner will make the game feel good again. I guess the question there is.....if I go to the old tuner, does that fix the feel, or am I bound for slideritus regardless......

SLider 1.01 feels like it did prior to the update

....BUT, I might be on to something and just need to get another game or two in with the new tuner and adjustments I've made

I'm gonna give it a few more games of tweaking before I revert back to tuner 1.01

Check out my sliders int he sliders thread - just had a great game that felt pretty good using 1.02

Do you have it on 1.02 or latest. In other yrs latest is not the same tuner as the highest number (even though they and a lot of people say it is). Check on that (if you see any differences).


What differences do you see in 1.01 that you like better.


We have tried every top slider guy sliders on the sliders thread page and couldn't get it good again (using latest). What I did after that in search in good gameplay again is do what Fiddy did and go off of certain factory defaults. We are sampling things now and found, like you and northman have, a better gameplay with passing assist on 67 instead of 33 or 30.


Sort of using different combo from each category in the 1/2/3/4 defaults for what works better. Then I am going to sample certain things in tito/northman/tnk/cycloniac/fiddy/regualation/popular sets that we liked or just see the differences to get these good again.


We are very happy with the pass assist now (even though you can make more realistic passes on 33/30, its a better gameplay on 67 or what you/northman have it at because you then can ramp up the sliders to make it hard but be able to play).
