      Cheers Mike, good read - silhouettes that's something that majorly bugs me in any franchise mode. Just have a pic of the in game face surely!!!

          Unfortunately, they haven't fixed everything that plagued NHL 17 EASHL. It is so bad online that no one was playing it. It was the same during close and open beta. I think, from my experience, it's a better experience offline but terrible online. I'm baffled that we have 0 new commentary this year. They fixed human goalies. It's actually possible to play offline as a goalie and get some decent result but does that warrant the price of admission ? I'm not sure. I know a lot of NHL fan feels the same way.

              Me too. That was one of the first things I checked for in the game.

              I am creating some prospects since they don't have draft classes (and all of them will have black silhouettes). Really couldn't believe the Rookies from the draft do as well. My NCAA 11 had the cartoon faces. How is this not in a game this many years later.
              A few years into a franchise mode and half the guys won't have pictures.

              Also, what is with having to choose a name for them to say that's not correct??? Why can't they say my guy's number.
              And it's on Team names as well. I chose the Triceratops Logo (and that's not an option for them to say, or Dinosaurs). This game is so limited.

              Also, it's frustrating that you can't edit players (besides attributes before starting). In Madden, I could turn Tom Brady into Michael Vick, if I wanted. On NHL I can't edit the rookies names, looks, or ratings, Grr.

                      NHL is ok, if you liked NHL 17, but I understand how many people are unimpressed this year. This game just doesn't get enough development love from EA bigwigs and it shows. Presentation is truly terrible and I'd be ashamed if I was Doc. He doesn't even mention Auston Matthews at all. One of biggest storylines of the year. I'm sure the team is doing what it can, but it's a shame to see a once great series limp along like EA's most neglected step child.

                          Personally,

                          I love the Vegas Knights logo and uniforms. I even bought a t-shirt, hat, and hoodie on my last trip to Vegas and have adopted them as my official second team!

                          And the mascot thing seems like a cool idea to add a little bit extra immersion.
