When I load the game on Xbox one. I don’t get any prompts to download a patch or a tuner. Do I automatically have it? I don’t have the actual disc. I bought the digital copy. Thanks for any help.

I have the digital copy and I received a prompt to download a patch earlier today.. but I think it will auto install if you have that setting on.. mine will do that if a few hours go by.

The tuner came out a few days ago.. so you might have already installed it?

Added additional logic for more accurate calling of goalie interference??? What's these mean?

No idea.. I hit the goalie all the time on the rush to the net.. I haven't see one goalie interference penalty called yet.

Where is the auto install setting? I’m wondering if I should delete my copy and reinstall it? Maybe that would trigger the prompt? Thanks man.

Yes I am as well on the ps4. Spent about 2 hours last night creating a team than I can't start a franchise.

Check the other thread.. I'm on 4/4 full sim 8 min periods, penalties/fighing maxed out, hum strategy adjustment 3/6, using prefer up and seeing good results.

One of the things that frustrates me most with the NHL series is that as soon as I find a game play that I love...a tuner/patch comes out and just messes it all up. It never seems like the tuner selection at the main screen actually does anything.

Really enjoying the game, and the flow and rhythm, and challenge of manual passing with zero assist. Executing the right timing on give and go's, finding the open man for the shot, and patiently working the puck are a lot of fun.

A couple things though.

There are still too many instances of my teammates facing the wrong direction, and doing weird things like skating out of a good setup while I'm stopped with an open passing lane to them. Puck pickups and my players' awareness of the puck feels off at times still.

On superstar, the cpu, and even players with low defensive awareness, are a little too adept at making plays out of a good aggressive forecheck, and a locked down passive. They can pull off some very dubious 360 spins to open up a passing lane. They also have a bit to quick a first stride.

On superstar the cpu is a little too good at reacquiring the puck after being separated from it while I'm right in on them or have body position shielding them from the separated puck and I'm completely off LS. Additionally, they are able to reacquire the puck so quickly they will often lose it multiple times in a few seconds, but eventually skate out of me being body to body with them.

Other than that though I do think it's pretty fair. The input reading window feels like it's a bit too tight, but it is superstar after all and you expect buffs. I think they could just be toned down a bit, but generally it offers a good challenge and good variety of challenge and gameplay.

If you create or relocate a team in franchise mode, are the jerseys by Adidas or Reebok? Before the patch you had the Reebok Jerseys. That killed some immersion.

Every year people ask about jerseys.....they can't update them until all of the teams officially reveal them......yes it is dumb but that is the deal.

Give it about a week of reg. season games for all of them to be released.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide and choose Settings > All settings.
Select System > Updates.
Select Keep my console up to date for console and Keep my games & apps up to date for games & apps.

Agreed.. but there are times when they do fix things like goalie improvements that I feel like I have to use the newest tuners. It can get frustrating for sure.

One thing I still need to adapt to is chop puck being click R3 to activate because I'm accidentally clicking (it seems really sensitive) when I'm trying to execute a one-timer.

Same here. Deleted entire game reinstalled. Nope. Still garbage. EA sucks. I swear we are the test bed for their updates. Why bother paying people when we the end user can !!!

Mizzourah, are you using the patch and the tuner? Or just the patch?
