Edit players in franchise mode ... and not just your own team.

Five Features We Would Love to See in NHL 19

I agree to a lot of what has been put in here about gameplay, but I want to focus on more in depth franchise stuff.

A minor but important feature to me - BRING BACK THE ALLSTAR GAME in franchise!

      - with the option, during Franchise set up, to choose between the current 3 on 3 round robin or the 'classic' 5 on 5 which I always looked forward to playing.

Before anyone says having a classic style all star game is too unrealistic in today's game, lets just think about the 32nd expansion team many of us are enjoying playing & managing now.

There are other thing s like -

Fix the BS Broken Morale system - recently I had Nolan Patrick score 2 goals including game winner, gets 1st star of the game, then return to franchise menu and get a notification that his morale dropped due to a poor performance! WTF? That's not just it, but that's an example at least.

Fix chemistry, I got 1st & 2nd line players who get on great with 4th liners, the 7th D-man and the backup Goalie who plays 12 games a year, however they can't even strike a friend ship with the guy he plays in the same line after years of playing together?

Scouting - what everyone else has said.

GM - hire / fire coaches & scouts, though don't so much want to hire/ fire other staff like the team medical staff. It's a pro organisation, medical care should/would be the same from team to team.
Though perhaps setting how much funding goes into medical, scouting, coaching instead of setting the price of a Coke and a Hotdog might be a little more immersive)

Team training sessions that impact team chemistry, very slight skill increase/decreases game to game (maybe in place of morale rise/fall?), maybe even training injuries...

A better league news screen, to me in the current platform, most of it is junk and not worth even reading.

Better stats - i like to know which team a player has played for, give us his stats for the last 5 games (at a minimum!)

Hmmm.... started off by only wanting to say I wanted an allstar game then it turned into a multitude of things, I can keep going but I'm going stop right here....

I have refused to buy the game for the last couple years because of stagnant it has been. Given the features that people are suggesting, it seems like they haven't made any improvements

Personally, all of the small improvements haven't been enough to outweigh my frustration with the AI in general.

The defensive skill stick looks nice, but none of the videos I have seen have shown an improvement in the other parts of the game that prevent me from enjoying NHL 17, and have kept me from enjoying NHL 14-16 as well.

Just one, BAP - get rid of grades. You can value how I'm doing with points, +/-, penalty kill etc.. Especially at the NHL level.

I would really love to see something like My League (NBA 2k), where you can control every team, create additional jerseys, edit arenas (ice, boards) etc.

                  Franchise Mode
1- Hire/fire staff (including real life coaches) who have strengths and weaknesses
2- Non trade/movement clauses to contracts
3- Total revamp of the Trade deadline, including increased trade values for players with 1 year left and playing for a selling team, maybe add a bidding system to see what other teams are offering
4- Total revamp of the Free agents day... top free agents don't wait 7 days to sign with a team, they sign mostly on day 1
5- Contracts based on production and age, not solely on overall (seeing a 82 OVR rookie I developed in AHL during 3 years demanding a 5M$ contract is ridiculous)
                  6- Salary arbitration
                  7- Contract bonuses
8- Player/goalie fatigue, increasing with age
                  9- In game goalie injuries
10- Line chemistry (could be mixed with morale)
                  11- Multi-position player (Ie Galchenyuk is a LW/C)
                  12- Suspensions
                  13- Draft lottery animation
14- Edit player ratings during BeaGM
15- Player demands (ice time, line change, trade, etc.)
16- Keeping track of your CHL rookies
17- Bring back hot and cold streaks
Yes to all of these. I am a franchise mode player who has yet to actually play a game (I sim the regular season and playoffs). I just want to be the GM of my franchise and not the head coach.

On more change I would like to see in Franchise mode is changing the current trading system to a bidding system.

                      Just to add a few,

-Dynamic Difficulty like MLB the Show.Playing around with sliders, difficulty level, etc is a PITA in Franchise. ONLY IF DONE RIGHT!!
                      -Shared sliders,logos,roster,etc.
-More logos to choose. Make them match the audio names. C'mon man!!

I know im dreaming, but incorporate all leagues, such as the shl and liiga into franchise mode like fifa.

The lack of Custom Soundtracks are the reason I'm still playing NHL 13. That's right. Now 5 years of the same game, because that feature makes it superior to every new game they release.

Will we EVER get that back? What's the excuse, now that MLB has Sounds of the Show?

Haven't bought the game since NHL 14 on PS3. Honestly, the only way I'll ever come back is if they have roster sharing and custom music, again. Other than those 2 things, the addition I'd want most would be 31 team control. That's huge for me in sports titles, these days.

I don't know about XB1, but on PS4 I turn the menu music volume all the way down to zero and I listen to whatever music I want to through the PS menu.

PS music runs through Spotify, so I have no idea if you need to be a Spotify premium subscriber to use it (I am a subsriber), but I'm pretty sure you don't have to be.

Having this feature built into PS4 essentially means adding custom music to the game adds no value for people like me, and I'm sure XB1 probably has something similar. That's probably why it's not a high priority of theirs.
