Re: Annual EA survey previewing NHL 19 features

The NHL series has long been my favorite dating back to Sega, and when I think of all the time I spent playing EASHL and such in college my goodness. Unfortunately I skipped the nhl 15 and this current game nhl 18. The series has been stagnant and alienating of core fans for too long now. The prioritizing of hut at the expense of everything has been very apparent, but that's for another time.

I was SHOCKED that GM Connected was not in this years game, and after seeing 3's and celebrations I was so turned off by the direction of this game that I just said no more. I will not be buying another NHL game until GM Connected is added (re-added). The company line that people didnt play it is so misleading, the mode itself was unplayable as it was plagued by insanely slow freezing menus that made any action a chore and source of frustration, franchise crippling bugs such as stat and player errors, etc. If they put forth a quality GM Connected it would certainly get more play. That is my number 1, GM Connected. My question is since its not on the survey this year does that mean its not in for NHL 19, or was it on the survey last year and removed from this years?

Second (and not by much) is the skating engine, its just flat out bad and how EA doesnt recognize this and pushes forward with it is beyond me and shows a startling lack of self/consumer awareness. The skating engine sounds good in theory but in game its just a complete disaster.

There are a ton of things wrong with this game, if it were an NHL team and you were the GM there would be no "building block" players, for the most part every component of this game really needs a makeover from presentation, to commentary, to AI, to player differention, to board play, collision physics, etc. But for me I need one of GM Connected re-added or the Skating engine changed to buy this game again, and I want to buy the game, I literally want to shout at EA "I want to buy your game I want to give you money for it please give me a reason to do that".

It's such a POS! I am considering saying F IT and going back to NHL17 which isn't to much better. But hey at least the AI was better!

Am I the only one who would love to see a franchise mode that would combine all league that are in the game (Just like FIFA). I mean you should be able to live the life of a real GM or even in Be a Pro. So you can start as an CHL GM and climb your way up to the minor league and NHL. Even be able to accept a job in Europe if you want.

I think this would add some depth to the mode and would reflect real life hockey as well.
