Yeah, and that pisses me off. They had him accurate the last couple years. What the hell happened this year? Only EA. 🙄

I definitely thought they'd add a few with the roster update but doesn't seem so?

Some old with player faces will retire or leave the league in summer, so if they add 30 a year in general under the line they will be not more than approx. 20 faces each year. It’s a pity that they don’t care much about authenticity. Would like to get the possibility to scan from a pic and to upload to the game to the missing players. Same as the so much missing player profile pics.

Just thought I’d share this here. I just saw on Reddit that Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 has 2,142 player faces in the game. FIFA 19 has 1,637. This past year (from the 2018 versions of the games), PES added 192 faces and FIFA added 361 faces.

I get it - EA’s NHL dev team is small. But... come on man.

wow never thought pes has more than fifa. Like La liga and EPL I would assume alone are already like 800.

For a game like NHL which has such strong focus on a single league they should have nearly all players on NHL contracts no excuse for that. Also back in the day, thinking of the early 2000s they actually had way more players with real faces than they have now lol.

It’s because of the way EA NHL does the scans. They actually physically scan a player’s head to put it into the game. Other games don’t do that - they just model a face that looks 99% correct.

That’s all we’re asking for out of EA NHL. You don’t have to physically scan all of the players. They don’t have to look absolutely perfect. Just put in some effort so the players look pretty similar to their real-life selves.

Also, they need to unlock the ability to edit the players’ faces. So for the players they screw up (trust me, not 100% of the FIFA and PES faces look good), we can fix them ourselves.

Zach Stortini - Charlotte Checkers has a face scan, maybe is old and added lomg ago.

Andrei Bykov (Fribourg) Suisse has a real face. Lino Martschini (Zug) Suisse and Simon Moser (Bern) Suisse too. Isn’t the headquarter of EA Europe not in Suisse ?

Wow even NBA Live 19 gets more attention than NHL 19.They got a gameplay patch with get this,over 60 player likeness updates,now I'm pissed.We NEED 2k or Sony to make a hockey game.This team doesn't seem to care.

I agree to 100%. EA NHL is the worsest popular Sport game in this.

Caught that too. It’s so weird how some YouTube videos have up to the minute rosters but the Beta has the last NHL 19 roster update. I scanned teams I expected to have news scans and nothing new was added. In the gameplay trailer I believe you can even spot a Kotkaniemi scan which I real happy about. I’d rather confirm it when I can see it clearly though.
