    Trading block questions

What do the future surplus draft picks and the future wants draft picks mean?

Which is the difference between the future draft picks and the current draft picks?

Why for example the cpu team want the 1st current draft pick even if he has a surplus on the 1st current draft pick?

    Thanks

Current Wants Draft Picks - is whether your or the cpu’s team wants draft picks in the current year.
Eg. if you have a RD1 pick as a current want, that means you are wanting a. Round 1 pick and are willing to trade for it.

Current Surplus Draft Picks - Means your team or cpu team considers the current year’s draft picks to be surplus and you/they are willing to trade them away.
Eg. if your 1st round current pick is listed as surplus, then that means you are willing to trade it away.

Future means the same, but instead of the current season you are in, it means you want/need picks for future seasons

It can mean that the team is willing to accept a current pick and might also be willing to give up theirs.
For example Buffalo might have round 1 pick 10 & are willing to accept an Anaheim round 1 pick 28 + extra players &/or picks.
Make sense? Hoping the example might provide clarity.
