No clue. Lol. I was going off of the tuner/patch notes.

Tuner 1.02 was when they adjusted the slashing. Nothing in the patch notes talks about slashing etc.

    Hmmm.

It's not the tuner, even with 1.01 lots of slashing, now I have the slider at 2/100 but still lots of them, I don't get it

So something with the patch opened up a can of worms with all the slashes. Ugh.

Haven't had a chance to check so not sure if it is just missing in the patch notes or if it was really omitted, but given the number of centre ice fixes, the Ottawa Senators weren't listed as one of the teams that got changed despite them changing their centre ice logo back to the centurion for this year. Disappointing if true - I mean, it doesn't take that much effort to fact check this and get it right on their end.

I wonder if they upped the slashing penalties due to the fact that since people weren't able to spam the poke check button anymore they started spamming the stick lift button. It would make sense to try and stop that as well.

Looks like we gotta minimize the sticks related penalties. I had tripping and slashing to 0 and not even one penalty the whole game. So the penalties are broken as we very rarely get the random ones from the list. Had some at 100 while those 2 at 0. Not one penalty lol.

Definitely. It's really weird how willing the cpu is to take a stick infraction when it gets beaten. Thankfully it does seem like it's completely rectified by just tuning the sliders down in the 20 range.

Definitely loving the gameplay overall. There's so much depth in how to manipulate the defense and create plays. Your teammates finally behave in really clever ways when you hold the puck, and some of the plays you can make are joy. Plus EA finally fixed d-zone faceoff alignments after like 15 years. I just want a better AHL roster so I can start a franchise. Not EA's fault, of course.

I truly hope one of these days they totally overhaul board play, and give goalies a true generational update.

I have penalties turned all the way up 4/4 from the main settings and 100/100 in the slider settings and they seem just about spot on for me in franchise mode. In fact, last game the CPU took 3 penalties and I didn't take any.

This years game is the best hockey game I've played in a very long time. I love the way the goalies don't sit in the butterfly anymore and I'm seeing more varied animations and glove saves as they are able to get back up now. If they had Madden's presentation, I would be in hockey heaven.

they released a roster last week that wasn't too bad. I kinda dug into it in depth in the roster forum. There's only a handful of top AHL prospects that are completely missing

Did they ever fix the ability to get into 6v6 EASHL drop in matches?

I agree. Another glaring problem, although better this year, they need to fix the tendency for d-men defending a rush to back up and let you take a shot in the slot.

Really enjoying NHL 19. The AI improvements have really benefited the offline gamer.

While the game is better offline,,,so far out of 14 games 12 games are either 2-1 or 3-2, of which 5 of the 12 one goal difference were in OT or shootout. Two games are two goal spread 3-1 and 4-2 because of an empty net.

I have tried to tweek the shot aim (using auto aim setting) from about 46 to 50 and lower the goalie rating from 50 to about 40 for both AI and Human.....no dice....same result.

Check my sliders out, I'm having some fun with high scoring games.

I think the biggest change this year isn't just how much more careful you have to be about your shot accuracy, but also how much more careful you have to be about executing the RS gestures to pull off a hard enough wrister or slapper. You used to be able to get decent rebounds for second chances with softer shots, now you really have to charge your shot properly. Also moving the puck back and forth with RS is essential for keeping goalies from committing.
