Why not wait until Black Friday for an franshise/offline . It will be not so much different to Nhl19. Couching carousel will be interesting, maybe like NCAA football. I wish they would allow mods like Bethesda or released on PC.

It’s over fellas....it’s been over. We are are dying breed that nobody cares about. We all wish for another developer to make a hockey game....we all pine for the old 2K days but guess what? ALL games these days focus on the online play and micro transactions. What do you think a new developer would focus on if they created an NHL game? Online and micro transactions. Nobody cares what we want anymore. It’s over Johnny.....

Here we go again sounds like us offline guys are going to get screwed again. The thing is though that i think a lot of offline guys talk about not buying the game this year but then it comes out and you all run out and buy the damn game. I used to be a guy who bought the game as soon as it came out too, but that was back when they actually added features worth buying. Now i'm not talking to the guys who love the online features and get all the new features, this goes out to all of the offline players who are pissed off every year and now chance the rapper and drake are the final straw! I challenge all of us offline fans to NOT BUY THE GAME UNTIL AT LEAST BLACK FRIDAY!!!! by then it will be cheaper and hopefully we will send a message to the EA NHL team, with a noticeable drop in sales, that offline is important too or we will realize that we are such small percentage of sales and that's why EA NHL doesn't want to waste their time and money trying to make us happy. Hopefully we are a decent percentage in sales and this shows EA that we are not going to keep buying their crap year after year. But of course there are a lot of talkers out there and this would only work if enough of us do it, the more people that accept this challenge the stronger our message. However the offline guys that do buy it at full price need to stop complaining if they aren't prepared to support this movement than you have no reason to complain.

I absolutely will refuse to buy 20 at full price. I will be waiting well into 2020 if at all to get this game. To not even touch the AI when they consistently make mistakes that 8 year-olds wouldn't, they don't deserve my $60. I've put more than enough time into this game to find strategies and sliders that "fix" the gameplay, and while you can enhance the experience, you can never truly fix this game as the AI are just not programmed well-enough to get consistently satisfying gameplay.

What a shame because I'm genuinely excited to see their in-house presentation. but it looks like I'll be waiting awhile to redo my fully custom league again on 20.

People need to stop saying “2k would make a better game.” They made some amazing games back in the day, look at ESPN 2k5. But if 2k makes hockey, guess what folks...it’s going to have an ultimate team mode. You can’t stop the direction sports games are going, it’s disappointing.

Agreed, people look at 2k's NHL game with rose colored glasses, the last few iterations really weren't great titles to begin with.

Any word if we will be able to play a 3v3 tournament like the all star game format? That arcade version "3s" is terrible and not a lot of variety .

Ok, you are right from past but compare now NBA 2K and EA NBA and there is a huge diffrence. Winner is 2K. By the way, yesterday at the entry draft in Vancouver EA NHL was silent. All the years before they announced a player pic with likeness of pick one and two short after they where selected at Twitter and FB.
This year not any comment from the Home company at the draft in Vancouver. What a shame ! They are to greedy to buy the IIHF or College rights to post the name and likeness of Hughes. This company only want to take and not to give for what many are asking.

Hopefully everybody here who complains about it will stick to it and not buy it…

I get this impression that a lot of us complain about it but then end up still buying it which defeats any limited leverage we even have.

I made the mistake of buying 19 and I won’t be making the mistake of buying 20.

Fired up my PS3 last night and played some legacy and had a blast as usual and I think I’m just gonna be sticking with that it looks like

I would recommend NHL 13 or NHL 2K3/5/8/10.

That is what seems to happen every year it looks like a bunch of guys pissed off because of the previous game say they are done but then the new one gets released and you see them on here talking about having the new game right when it comes out. Really we can bitch and complain all we want but in the end the only thing gaming companies listen too is money and therefore the only way we can be heard is by either purchasing the game or not that how our money talks. If they have a noticeable dip in sales when the game gets released they will want to figure out why. So there is either enough of us that want to send a message that we want our money to be heard or we realize that our money doesn't mean anything compared to the online money they make. But it only will work if we all do it together. I'm not saying don't buy the game completely if you absolutely need to buy it just wait until atleast black friday, i think that if they don't see whats going on by then, its not going to happen.

In fairness those guys who said no buy all probably played the NHL 19 Beta and loved it. The Beta played great and it changed a lot of minds....The problem is EA caters to their fanboys and by the 2nd patch the game was almost exactly like NHL 18. The lesson here is don’t be fooled by a great playing beta again because EA will just destroy it anyway

Not after the DRE debacle that plagued 19. 19's demo was great, got the game on release and by the 2nd week of October I wanted my money back. Won't make that mistake again.

Game Informer just released an article saying they added 400 goalie animations, a coaching carousel, line chemistry + a trade finder. Seems like quite a bit for franchise mode.

Problem is if we don't buy the game,the quality of the game will slip even more or they will cancel it.A so so game is better than no game at all.Maybe have roster share and put out a new game every 2 years.The game hasn't changed much from year to year.
