Didn't they have line chemistry a few games back?

That has always been the trend with EA. Remove a feature, then add it back a few years later and market it as new. It "tricks" the buyer into thinking new features are being implemented.

Every year I have hopes EA will address the offline issues and every year is disappointment. Their money is in the online aspect. I was naive in thinking we had more offline features this year after reading about the elimination modes, etc. Then I find out those are online only.

EA has proven they don't care about offline. Each year we get visual enhancements, but the same game play. Remember when everyone complained about the AI and what did we get? Mascots.

Where is the ability to play a 3v3 all star tournament? It's been in the NHL for years now and ignored by EA. Instead, we get a NHL 3's mode which is very arcade and limited.

Unless a miracle happens, a 100 people not buying the game won't even dent EA's pocket.

        Is it though?

I'd almost rather they burn out and there is no NHL game, which I think would be something the NHL would ultimately want to address and perhaps we'd get a different Dev to take a swing at it.

If they cancel it, it's nobody fault but EA's. Much don't change with this game that's why a sixty dollar investment isn't worth it. When the game drops to 19.99, I might consider getting. There are games coming up I would consider spending my money on. WWE 2K20, Modern Warfare to name a few.

For me, it's almost as if history is repeating itself. I'm finding more fun in the text sport games now than I am in EA's sports games. You can promote flashy graphics all you want, but if the game play is terrible, the whole game suffers. I would rather have great game play and "okay" graphics.

Very true that sixty dollar investment gets to be a lot when we're not getting anything new anymore. A feature like roster sharing has been requested for numerous years and EA ignores it over adding flashy stadiums and removing goal songs. They claim to have a game with authentic experience, but tons of features are missing to support that.

400 more animations? Okay...but what about the AI defense? Or your defenders skating away from the puck? Or this issue and that issue...? Rinse and repeat each year.

The new MW actually looks really enticing! For a series that drove me away (Haven't purchased one myself since BO1) I see some definite progress with the new trailer. A gritty experience, seems like they're returning to their roots with boots on the ground/realistic-ish campaign, and a new engine to boot. $60 seems like a no-brainer there.

NHL has needed a new vision/direction for a long time. This X1 generation was completely lost. Sports games as a whole have been abysmal during this generation, but NHL really fell-off. The game just isn't fun, and hasn't been fun, in a very long time. As someone who used to play 6s every year and finally stopped with 19, you really start to see how bad this game is without other humans.

Although I think '19 is better then '18, I've played '18 more. '19 is just boring. Another thing I noticed is room population in EASHL. In September it was Normal, ever other month beside this month (June because it's free) has been Low population.

ok how about we look at this another way maybe by not buying it until atleast Black Friday ea takes enough of a hit on their sales that they fire Sean Ramjagsingh, seen as i think most people agree that when littman left and he took over, the game has been going down hill ever since

The lesson here is don’t be fooled by a great playing beta again because EA will just destroy it anyway
The gameplay is one thing, but so many important missing other things another.

Why does it make sense to buy this game early for offline Franchise player only? No complete Rosters ( AHL waivers, players will be added mid Nov ), even no good Rosters in April next year. Without Roster sharing and many other important things it’s nearly not intressting to buy at all. For example, I Find out that for people with good player knowledge the scouting system for the first two years is useless. My slider is off.

If you ran a so so business the only way you would stay in business is if you were the only one in that business. That’s the problem with these game companies locking down a license. They are the only sheriff in town so they can make a poor product because too many people choose to accept rather than go without. They got us all by the short hairs....

Exactly. Add-in the UT modes which have made designing an actual good on-ice/on-field product a thing of the past, you're left with companies who couldn't care less about the product and are only concerned about their YT'ers and content creators who get the masses to continue to throw money at virtual trading cards. The sports gaming industry is in such poor shape. There's a reason older sports games "feel" better and more fun than their new-age counterparts, the reason being that they're simply deeper, more immersive games that aren't centered around micro-transactions and loot boxes.

I’d be happy as a pig in shiiit if EA just scrapped every league except for the NHL and AHL and just added roster sharing and draft class sharing.

And the ability to control all 30 teams.

WTF. This is basic stuff at this point.

Not being able to control all 31 (32) teams in an offline game mode in 2019 is really inexcusable. You're correct when you say it's basic stuff. Madden has had this since 25, yet FIFA and NHL are stuck in the dark ages where franchise modes can only have one controlled team.

Gamers what choices, they want customization, they want experiences that they can customize and be immersed in. It's ridiculous that in the 6th installment on this generation, we still don't have roster sharing/31-team franchise control, but thank goodness we have a mascot creator.

What really chaps my *** in franchise mode is that I can’t put the proper prospects on the proper teams. It’s annoying and way too time consuming and miserable trying to trade the top prospects into their rightful teams.
