I don’t believe Owen Power had a face when he was drafted. I think whenever it’s a college player, they wait until after due to NCAA rules, but now with NIL and player likeness rules, I’m wondering if this changes.

Yes he had a likeness from the beginning but the complete year no headshot pic. Every NHL number one pic had a face, first time Celebrini without. There ist no rule to can not use a likeness or picture after playing minimum one NHL game. They can use all and update the pictures too during the year. Same as for waiver signed AHL freshman player or CHL players. From the pictures they are always one year behind. So in this cases we play mostly with season pics from 2023/24 season. I realy dont know their strategy ? They also could do some profit when adding player pictures cause than they are available to buy in Hut and this would bring money to them. For example the world junior players, Carter George, Peteri Rimpinen,, Linas Feldbergs, and many more. All without a picture. A player picture should be minimum and basic.

Yeah, we aren’t talking about head scans. Not adding a picture instead of that silhouette just screams lazy.

If they let us add a headshot pic ( removed background, size 180x180, 31,7kb, dds picture format ) to our self created players we could solve the problem. Notice..... the dds format in this size they use in their FIFA, FC games, so probably they are the same in NHL games.

Today during a game in my Franchise season I have noticed that EA has added a cranium face for Shane Pinto. I dont know if such a face of him was in before ? I mixed my own roster with created players with the latest EA roster, changed ratings, potentials and started a new Franchise season three days ago. So maybe they added some more new cranium faces of players ?

I guess they name this half generic/ half from a photo copy faces with artificial hair cranium face. As I remember in FC 25 they say like this. There are a lot of such non scanned players in NHL 25. I was wrong, Pinto's face was in the game a long time ago. I checked older rosters.
