NHL Fanchise

I've been getting into hockey more lately and I'm looking at picking up NHL 20. I was curious to see what people thought of the franchise mode? What is the good and bad about it?

Pros:

-the draft is fun. You can get steals in every round
-if players put up points, their overall will grow
-expansion draft is fun. You can add your own 32nd franchise

Cons:

-the AI GMs are really bad
-coaching/line chemistry are really busted. You can win the Stanley Cup with a "rebuilder" if the line chemistry is high enough.
-sim speed is sloooooow

This is a programming mistake. Usually good Defensive Defenceman, Defensive Forwards never get many Points. Other attributes like plus/minus, checking, good Penalty kill should be the main thing to grow but not scoring points.

Yeah I agree that defensemen should have different criteria. It's difficult to grow a top 4 defenseman above an 81 or 82

This game is in many points absolutely weak !

*Whispers quietly*...Or they could start implementing advanced stats and analytics into the game which would help create an immersive experience, help with tying in proper development, likely add a whole new fan base, and add a layer that the other major sports titles started putting in a handful of years ago...
