Think back to 2005 when 2K released NFL 2005 which blew EA's game out of the water and also sold for $29.99 brand new. What did EA do? They panicked and paid $$$ to the NFL for exclusive rights. Now take a look at their current NFL game. It's also a piece of crap!
It's called a monopoly unfortunatley, and no matter how many people boycott EA's game, it's going to make zero difference until some other company has the guts/resources to step in and say, check out our game as you might be surprised what you can create with a bit of effort.
Sadly, the only thing that will happen if people boycott their NHL game is that they'll probably do the same thing they did with NBA Live. Their UT machine is all EA cares about, and as unpopular as their NHL is compared to NFL and FIFA, it still makes enough money to keep the series afloat. What was their profit margin for last year? Something like 15 Billion dollars? On Ultimate Team alone? Realistically, how much do you think NHL HUT made for them? 1 Billion? 2 Billion? That means Madden and FIFA shared like 13 billion?

NHL is working on fumes. As soon as people stop buying, it's curtains for the series and then we'll be left with nothing. And then where will we turn for NHL games? What was that old saying? "the Devil you know is better than the one you don't know"? Sounds about right.

I can't wait for CFB 2023. Pro football bores me to death, but I've found in my limited time with Madden 21 that it gave me a pretty awesome challenge without me feeling cheated. Most of the mistakes were mental mistakes on my part from not playing football games a lot recently and my reads being atrocious haha.

I hope NHL gets to that point. If the AI were better at routine plays, I think the slider options they give us in the game would make it very easy for me to get to that level.

Meh. The biggest complaint I had about years past was the dreadful commentary that has plagued this franchise since... well always. So you ditched Emrick, replaced him with a nobody. On the other hand, the commentary had neither style nor substance for many years. Maybe they have the style, but not the substance. And for the love of God get rid of that other guy, he is so dull and says the same generic canned stuff over and over again.

Gameplay? Haven't noticed a difference, but the CPU cheats, that's all I have to say about that.
