Maybe it's because the EA servers are down but I downloaded the patch earlier and I'm not seeing the retro jerseys

The jersey files are packed on Gameplay updates but you need roster files to set them on the game. It works like that with new faces, rinks and so on.

Game definitely plays different since the patch and not for the better. Gonna have to mess with sliders. Game was playing perfectly but the games I played last night felt like I was up against a robo team. I had been having 4-3 and 3-2 type of games. First game against the Leafs and they scored 6 goals on about 15 shots. Gonna have to spend some time tweaking. Game also didn’t feel as organic. 2nd game was a bit better and the stats were closer to my pre patch games but still lost 3-0 and 2 of the goal were rocket one timers by the CPU.

Difficulty? Did you find the CPU team shooting more? Any variety of the goals you/Hum scored?

The game against the Leafs they were robo passing the puck all over. They had 15 shots for the game and scored on 6. Lots of fancy dangle goals and rocket one timers. I haven’t lost like that in a long time and this was on the pro settings with sliders adjusted to my liking. Game just didn’t have the same organic feel... very frustrating for sure because the game had been playing amazing. My second game gave me a bit more hope that a few slider adjustments will help me get it close to where I had it before. One change I had to make was set the game speed to zero...I’ve been playing game on 2 but it felt very fast after the patch so I set it at zero. I might have to adjust some skating sliders as well this weekend.

Yes Game Speed at 0 is a must, you may have to lower the Min Pass Speed to 15 or lower as well which I found helped immensely with the CPU ping pong passing. My biggest gripe is that the CPU team doesn’t shoot as often as I would like them to and found that I would generally double up on shooting attempts when looking at the stats at the end of the game.

Oh man, not good to hear. Not sure why EA always seems to jack stuff up for us simulation players via patches.

I'll play a game later today and report back. I've been playing on AS defaults and love the speed of the game. It was playing so well for how I play.

Whew, thank goodness. If there’s one thing this series needs is more tripping.

Yeah that stood out to me too. And what I thought was, that’s actually backwards: the refs absolutely SHOULD let some penalties go.

The penalty sliders should do what they actually say, “effects how often a [tripping] penalty is called”; not how often an infraction is committed. If you put holding/interference to zero, it doesn’t mean that the board-pinning animation is just gone, it means you won’t get called for it. So why does putting the tripping penalty slider to zero make it to no one ever gets tripped instead of tripping just not being called?

You need to download the latest roster and make it your active roster in the main menu. After that, the new uniforms will be available in your pre-existing franchise.
