Watched a clip on YouTube yesterday---caught a screen shot of the OFFLINE menu and noticed theres no "SEASON"---I know I am in the minority of people who enjoy ths mode

In Franchise mode will we be able to make in game strategy changes? They took that away last year.
They said that since we were not the coach we shouldn't be able to change it. 🙁

I use season mode sometimes.

It's EA, so if they add things in this year they HAVE TO take something out. I guess there's only so much room on the disc.

Now, if they had franchise mode with 32 team control and options like in other sports games to automate some of the gm tasks then maybe we don't need a season mode, but until they do this season mode is very good for people that just want to play games and not deal with all the gm tasks.

Don’t remember what year it was, but I certainly remember an NHL game that you could put custom music for custom events…

Like I said, it’s your game, you’re offline, you can do whatever. Would add so much ! I don’t understand why you say "most users will never use" ?

I know a bunch of people that would that’s for sure 😉

Istill play NHL14 on 360 and I have custom music on it.

So the pressure meter can't be turned off??

Count me out for NHL 24 then. I don't want to play with a damn arcade like meter in the middle of the ice.

We have been playing a dang arcade game for decades with this series, they just came full circle making sure people know that with that meter. LOL.

But seriously, a patch to toggle that on and off needs to be available asap. Can't imagine adding that and nobody saying "we need to make that an option to be turned off visually."..

EA should know by now from say the vision cone and home field advantage in Madden and other new features that they nearly always are not the best idea for everyone. They seem to usually be out of balance at release or like the pressure meter an annoying feature. Forcing them on all always leads to backlash.

It seems like it would be much easier to develop them with options to turn off at least for offline and not have to constantly go in later and patch in these options while dealing with a frustrated offline community.

At least that's the common sense approach, but unfortunately not the way EA thinks.

In nhl 23, you could in franchise mode,
I would think you can in 24. A great option they added for me anyway. Now just make it online!

I don't why they are so hell bent on making us accept their changes. Makes no sense.
