Will there be an all star game, will the amount of shots and hits be lowered? New commentary?

for me it seems like a bug..

        It should be like this:

SKILL STICK CONTROL = without ICON PASSING*

TOTAL CONTROL = with ICON PASSING Symbols

        Otherwise it doesn't make sense!

While I wouldn’t be opposed to changing the button to activate it, I personally like the icon passing since that was a great feature in NHL 2k8, especially on special teams. I feel like the passing speed should be dependent on how hard you press the RT/R2 button and not how long you press it. Makes it more realistic since it doesn’t take that much more time to fire a pass as opposed to float one in real life.

If EA really wants to make a realistic hockey game then the bolded! That would be the best and most realistic way!!! but please don't show the icons above the player... doesn't look like the real game

Biggest NHL 25 Questions? Ask Them Here

              1. Are we going to have a hard to get through neutral zone or CPU D that play stick on stick at the blue line so you can’t just gain the zone and take a shot from the slot?

              2. Piggybacking off 1, when the User does face aggressive CPU dmen when entering the zone down the boards, will the CPU use their stick on puck rather than the half attempt body check where you can just slip down the boards for an easy breakaway/odd man entry?

Basically for 1 and 2, is the game going to actually force us to dump the puck in and find different ways to get into the zone rather than just have an easy entry? Or at the very least make Dmen more aggressive with stick on puck when entering the zone.

              3. Are goalies going to flop around as much as 24? It is so rare an NHL goalie is actually flopping these days. Out of position, absolutely. However If a goalie is diving around, they aren’t in the league very long. 3/4 of goalies are incredibly smooth and essentially robotic in net now. Yes they get out of position but outside of Fleury, Quick, and a couple others I’m missing, it just doesn’t happen like it used to.

              4. Will there be different goalie styles? Just a couple examples: Smooth and essentially robotic (Ottinger), sound technique but has great secondary effort due to his reach so he will make reaching saves with his legs even when out of position (Vasilevskiy), etc.

              5. Will there be full presentation and will there be that fan cam from a few years ago added back to the game where you could use the RS to pan around the arena during stoppages?

              6. Can we score goals clean anywhere in the net rather than just certain spots?

              7. Will less goals go post and in?

              8. Will we see the CPU use the PP zone entry where irl someone will attack towards the red or opposing blue line but then send a pass back to the PP QB who if all goes well, gains the zone to get set up?

Re: Biggest NHL 25 Questions? Ask Them Here

Apologies if any of these have already been asked:

Can we fully edit players in franchise?

How has special teams AI been tweaked? Does AI have better spatial awareness during these situations?

Has trade logic been adjusted to account more for the salary cap? IE, young players on ELC contracts should have higher value than higher rated players on bad contracts

Has trade logic been adjusted for the trade deadline? IE, are contenders more open to moving first round picks (very hard to do in previous games)

Has the team ever thought about implementing a training camp or training sessions like the Madden series? Something where users can take a more hands-on approach to developing young players.

The off-season in general is more of a dead zone in franchise. Has there been any work or thought in making the off-season more interactive?

Has prospect progression been tweaked at at all? Oftentimes the attributes prospects are progressing in are odd and rarely include physical traits like skating speed or agility. Has that been looked at?

I definitely frequent OS nearly every day, but just don’t post much unless it’s EACFB right now. Back in the 360/PS3 days I was going on my yearly sometimes even daily rants about what I wanted from NHL and finally came to the realization not much changes toward where I wanted to see the game go so it wasn’t worth the frustration ha. I’ve at least tried every version of NHL but played some more than others and haven’t posted much in here.

I Definitely still track all of your work and all of the other slider guys who have been around here forever. It’s so awesome seeing the same names from those of us who loved the game and some of course still do.

Re: Biggest NHL 25 Questions? Ask Them Here

Personally, my biggest question is how often I will play EA NHL 25? I didn't play NHL 24 as often as previous editions. That's not to say it was bad, but more so that I invested my time with other sports gaming franchises. I really enjoyed the gameplay in Madden 24 and NBA 2K is so immersive with its Franchise mode and NBA ERAs inclusion, that there is only so much time in the day.

That being said I'm hoping NHL 25 will capture my excitement for the franchise once again.
