Everyone in the trailer skated like a Hughes brother lol. Isn't there a way to use viz to see each individual players stride and skating style? I understand getting 700+ NHLPA players to come and do mo-cap is impossible. But with advances in AI, there should be a way to leverage that to capture authentic skating styles.

If not, at least the top 50 players in the league should be brought in to mo-cap. I wasn't too impressed by how that looked tbh. I'll have to test it out in the EA Play trial.

A lot of positives in this deep dive. Hopefully the modernized strategies to take advantage of the new ICEq. Also loving the new one timer animations. Look so much better than years past

Defence looks good and new one timers. [emoji1360]
          Skating looks much more realistic.

Not impressed; goalies and puck physics.

Finally looks more like real hockey, cpu setting up in the ozone, one timers look better, stick physics, etc.

Looking forward to the presentation video.

The pressure gauge again was there all the time. Hopefully it will be an option to turn it off.

I like what I saw.......I am still playing NHL 23.

I will play the 10 hour trial for sure and make a decision based off that.

I am looking forward to the presentation blog because that needs an authentic overhaul.

I actually really enjoy franchise mode on NHL....it's quite deep. But of course I hope I see some legit improvements. Especially in CPU roster building and also making the league feel more alive with a better news wire, scores around the league each night, news stories that are deeper etc.

I am also happy to actually see they have moved on from the last gen consoles. Took a tad too long IMO.

I had fun with NHL 24 for me and this looks like possible more cycling of the puck in the offensive zone so that’s always encouraging

Love everything about this, my biggest gripe with the NHL series for years is the PP never really looked like a PP, just 5v5 with one less skater.

                      I'm hyped.

Read the gameplay blog if you haven't yet.

It talks about goalie as well as hitting improvements.

Not bad, but I fear with the new features it makes player attributes less relevant. I feel like things like desperation turns being effective should only be possible if the player is a good skater, otherwise they should just fall over or something. Hopefully that's the case.

I don't think the video described how offensive defensemen work other than shooting from the point. Wonder if there's a way to build a playbook that utilizes Brian Leetch/Adam Fox-style defensemen who creep up or cycle in deep.

Also not a huge fan of one-timers being some kind of player skill thing, unless the timing is tightly tied to the skater's shooting abilities/vision and such. The video implies as much but I question EA's ability to implement it.

They said it's tied to abilities, players with a one-time ability will have a better one timer as opposed to someone without it.

Every single penalty killer is looking at the puck carrier AFTER he's released the puck lol. I dunno man. Like, I'll buy it, but consider me skeptical of how good these changes will be.
