Figure I'll post this snippet here.

I reached out to Inglehart on twitter asking if the sliders resetting would be fixed for NHL 25. He sent me a DM and mentioned he was unaware of anything of that nature and asked me to send him some info on it. I sent him a 45 second video showing it to him in action. He mentioned he will take this in to the team and look into it. Hopefully if the issue wasn't fixed by randomness at least it's possible we see a fix for it in a patch at some point.

Update. He just messaged me back and said he was able to recreate this on his copy of NHL 24 at home. He is taking this to his team for an audit tomorrow on NHL 25.

If you have your current sliders set to your own pre set like "SlyBelle", all adjustments etc saved. When you load into a game, it will still show your pre set as being loaded but all the values are wrong. You would then have to scroll to the left or right and back to your pre set for them to be loaded correctly.

The only way to stop that was to load your pre set, make one slider change like fatigue effect down one click then put it back, then your pre set would then say "unsaved", when it said unsaved you could load into a game and the sliders usually would stick without any issues.

But I had mine change off and on even under "unsaved" and it made playing the game frustrating as if you always wonder if your sliders even are set or matter.

Wow, an EA dev acknowledging slider issues? Ross never did…

I have been woefully unimpressed by the gameplay since Mike’s era began but at least he can identify obvious slider issues.

Right? I never had issues with Ben though, he always answered questions I had in DM's on twitter as well.

But the slider issue, many tickets/complaints on their forums right? So how are they unaware? Do the community managers of the forum just compile a list for say Clappy, then Clappy has to pick one or two things to take to the Dev's?

So weird.

But, Mike did say if I ever see anything like that or just have ideas in general send them to him.

So maybe we can get a list together starting this Friday of things, gather them up in a 2 week period, and I can send them over to him.

Can't say for sure anything would get fixed 100%, but at least his eyes would be on it.

The slider issue was to do with when you saved your own settings. If you saved in sliders it would reset them. If you changed the sliders, came out (as unsaved like you said) then went into settings and saved in there they would be ok.

If that makes sense.

Update to the update. Mike reached out to me yesterday afternoon on Twitter/X. He said after the audit they found issues with the settings and that they would be addressed in a future patch. So looks like the issue will still be there at launch but will be fixed in a post release patch.

So explain how I work around this while testing sliders inside franchise mode?

Basically, set all your sliders up etc. Save the preset as "Armor and Sword". After you select your team/jerseys, advance to the next screen where you can go to change "Settings". Go to settings and then sliders and you will see that your pre set shows up "Armor and Sword" but the values will be wrong. So just scroll pre sets and come back to yours again, then make a change to one slider like Fatigue one click and then put it back. You will then now load into the game under an "Unsaved" pre set which is your pre set with all the values etc correct.

I'm sure there is a better way to explain it, but that's the jist of it.

You don’t need to do that.

Make slider changes. Back out so they are unsaved. Go into game settings and save your setting profile there instead. (Basically make sure you don’t make sliders your last settings change). I always go to game settings after making slider changes and save there.

They always stick after that.
