What's the difference between True Broadcast and True Broadcast Legacy? I've heard one of them is more realistic to each arena's tv broadcast but I forget which one lol

LEGACY is more zoomed in and is meant to replicate what you see on TV from the perspective of different arena broadcast.

True Broadcast is the more zoomed out angle that EA introduced in 23 that made people freak out…

I've been having an excellent time changing the camera to legacy. Thanks for the suggestion.

My goodness----just spent an afternoon trying with Broadcast cameras on NHL24--Its very very difficult at first BUT after an hour or so, it REALLY makes a difference to how the game looks/plays/feels----very enjoyable.
So may I ask---Is the Broadcast Camera on NHL 25 better than NHL 24?

I just approach it as a home ice advantage when I play at a team with a challenging broadcast view, either zoomed farther out or in - think it's New Jersey (?) where the crowd makes it tough to see the action at the near side boards.
Excellent point - I also approach it as “home ice advantage”. A few years back I actually compared the game’s “true broadcast” to real life telecasts and kudos to EA, it’s near exact for almost every team.

When you use broadcast, do you have to adjust the orientation of the stick for faceoffs?

Yes you have to change your orientation.
With controls set to always up, if you are attacking right to to left and the face off is in your zone, you must pull back at the 3 o clock position. 9 o’clock if you are facing left.

                This is the correct answer.

With all due respect to everyone of you playing with that camera, you are all INSANE ! 😉😂

Joking aside, I’m very happy that they brought that camera back to the series. I remember the outrage when they took it out…

That being said, I love to have new challenges and playing that camera when playing PLAYER LOCK, is not possible in any way. Half the time you can’t even see your bench when you wanna make a line change… In 23 I tried a few game with the broadcast one and it was more manageable to say the least.

Happy for you guys that it brought new life, but I’ll stick with the Action cam 😀✌️

                        lol
I’m sorry. I only gave you the first part haha. My bad
After you do that then you pull down to 6 o clock.

No worries. So to recap, when using broadcast pull the Right Stick towards the direction that would be towards the back of my player and then as the puck is dropped pull it down to the 6 o'clock position?

When auto zoom is off, click on the touchpad on PS5 for the camera angle to switch to your player locked player. A good way to get him to the bench.

Not sure what button that would be on Xbox.

Granted the controls scheme will feel alien and may require some relearning, the switch of camera makes a HUGE difference to the presentation and has actually made this game very enjoyable for me. Everything looks more authentic and less arcady. Player models look different (which is a good thing) and the proportions in relations to the rink feel much more accurate. I honestly don't understand why EA do not shout about this camera more, because it improves the visual experience multi fold compared to the up / down orientation.

There are three more things I do.

                              1) I would suggest increasing the contrast to 70 (in the Accessibility menu). This will bring out the skate marks in the ice and will make everything look a little more authentic.

                              2) The game speed will feel very fast with this camera (due to the left - right orientation). I find that the game speed at 1 is most suitable for this camera.

                              3) I remove the ugly circles under the skaters and only leave the names. This way you can appreciate the skating motion more, especially this year with the new vision control.

Not if you want the game to look like an actual broadcast, which is the point of the true broadcast (legacy) camera...and this thread! Enjoy your favorite cam and we shall enjoy ours.
