There is no need for this in the game, at least allow us to turn it off. I don't need EA showing me who's open on my team lol, i can figure that out myself.

I couldn’t agree more. Last game playing player lock, action camera, controlling Lane Hutson in the Ozone. As the Habs were putting lots of pressure. I see all these icons light up like a Christmas tree on the ice 😳

I put myself ready for a one timer. The perfect pass comes to me. I do a perfect one timer with Hutson, top right corner. All this perfect view from my player scoring a beauty only to be TAINTED with these targets and on top of it, I LOSE the clean view of the puck going in, because of THAT BIG GREEN TARGET appearing in the freaking net 😫😫

It looks like the "trainer" which is always the first thing I remove from the game.

Please EA, makes this a toggle option like everything else. Also the passing Icons needs to go…

This, a million times over. Another arcade type screen distraction nobody asked for. Just make it an on/off option in the on-ice trainer settings, like all the other visual guides!!

I remove everything there is to remove and still the passing icons show up if I hold the pass button too long, and these targets when a one timer is available…

Only way I know of to do that is the Hybrid control scheme, which maps passing to the X/A button and disables Icon Passing. But it limits the number of things you can do as a player because fewer buttons are involved, so it may not be for you.

Manual passing being turned Off (from the gameplay sliders) makes the pass come out normal speed with barely any pressure on the R2, but you're still likely going to see the icons flicker on screen for a moment unless you release the button right away.

I'd imagine the player in the video that Detroit posted above is either using Hybrid or having that very light touch on the pass button.

Edit: Also, nothing that I can find will get rid of the one-timer "bullseye" that pops up when a player is in position for one.

Also, nothing that I can find will get rid of the one-timer "bullseye" that pops up when a player is in position for one.

Worse than that is the totally unnecessary flashing green lights covering the entire net when it results in a goal. I swear, EA seems to try to suck all the joy out of scoring between this, the B.S. tunnel cellys, and the pointless EA logo post-goal transition screen in between.

That only comes up on the perfect one timer. It’s just the trainer settings. They need to add one to turn off icon passing, perfect one timer skater, and perfect one timer goal. Those are the only 3 options that remain that you can’t turn off.
