In my Franchise, player's salaries seem to be escalating at a higher rate than the team salary cap over the course of the 25 years of franchise mode. In particular, the number of players seeking massive pay days in the later years of the mode far exceeds the number of max contracts in the early years of the mode. I experienced this same issue in NHL 24 as I am not having in NHL 25.
I have been trying to figure out why and if there is a way to control this from happening by adjusting settings in the game. I have been wondering if this might be related to the Draft Settings for Generated Prospect Quality and Draft Class Quality. I always set both of those to High. But I am now thinking that the result of these settings over time is that there is too much talent in the league and therefore more top end players seeking high contract demands beyond what the automatically increased team salary cap is designed to handle.
Curious if any other folks have experienced this, whether adjusting the settings is the solution, and/or have any other thoughts.
