I guess they do not face scan the player anymore. Its possible to make a good face with Blender, photoshop program from some pictures. One example is Lamine Yamal, soccer player from FC Barcelona. Created face with blender and real photo to compare.

They’ve given us more updates this year than they have in the last five years. But sure, they don’t care.

As for Luke Hughes, he’ll get a face next year. The scan happened this summer during all the promos so I’d expect it in 26.

In fairness here, he was on the cover of the game...

Not that I think they don't care about the game, because you're right, they have done some really solid things, but for those out there that care about the face scans (it doesn't really matter to me that much, but some obviously do), I can see how this would be an issue.

I expected him to have a scan as well. But it’s usually a year lag between when they get them in studio and when they add the scan. They used to do it when teams visitors Vancouver, but no idea what they new process in. I’m hoping we see more scans in the coming years because it adds a lot to the game.

It would be a huge step forward to give us the massive options for creating players like EA FC 25 has. I also would be happy when they would alow us to upload player headshot pictures to our self created players. I doubt they will do. From my meaning it is basic work. They need to change old pics and add pics during every roster update. They also need to recreate all their own made mostly terrible looking generic faces.

I have not count, but think that there are max only about 25 players with a real face made by a good artist or scan. So it is like the last years or a bit fewer. The rest of the fast made faces which looking more or lesser a bit similar with generic hair are better than nothing. They made them the same way as they made the coaches.

It has to be more than 25. The Rangers alone have 10 from the default roster that had scanned faces (Zibanejad, Trocheck, Panarin, Kreider, Lafreniere, Kakko, Smith, Fox, Trouba, Miller). So I’d think it’s way more than that since each team has anywhere from 5-10.

Yes, but meant max 25 new players with scans or high quality made from a picture from a good artist this year in NHL 25. Excluded this half generic/real similar looking players they added this year.

Ah misunderstood. I’m hoping with the new engine, they can finally add in new actual scans vs the fake ones. Most of the fake ones look good, but some are pretty brutal.
