    Finally enjoying how it's playing.

I try to play as realistically as I can but it's been difficult to get the game to represent a less arcade style of play. It's literally taken me since the game released to get the sliders to play as good as I got it to play in last years iteration. I'm currently playing a full season where I rotate positions (excluding goalie) with player lock on. It's been extremely fun this last week even though my Redwings are currently 6-8-0 and battling a few early injuries. I've never uploaded a video like this before as I'm a bit of an older gamer and am not as good with the sticks as I once was. It's only 1 period just to see if it's something I want to do and experiment with. https://youtu.be/4pahQs8Ytkg?si=4e7zVcBJOh1LV6OU

I've got a question...as an older guy now and one who picked this up half price for the first time in many years....it would seem playing a season as my Devils with player lock on would be much easier than normal full control...so two questions:
      1) Is this a correct assumption
      2) Do you find only controlling one player a game causes you to miss out on much of the excitement of the game overall?

      Thanks

Full control guy here, just because it's what I grew up with.

From what I understand, the people who play with player lock on love it, and from an CPU AI perspective, the game, again from what I've seen/heard, plays really well.

I've personally been trying to do a hybrid-ish model, and try my darn-dest to not switch players in the d-zone, because the slight lag seems to be the major killer when it comes to defensive play. Offensively, I want some control.

Consider not switching to the D player closest to puck carrier after you lose possession (sort of a self-imposed player lock). However, once you gain possession, you'll always, of course, be the puck carrier/shooter.
