It's probably a good idea to reset most of of your sliders to default to evaluate the patch because they probably balanced everything against the defaults.

Try reinstalling the patch, that may work. I don't know for sure though, maybe someone else can give you an ideaComment

Re: Patch Released 1.0.1 (PS3)
Ok, I am pretty sure it worked. In my first game, CPU got called for 7 Penaltys and 5-6 in the second one.
The only problem is, that my teammates in BAP don't take penaltys. I don't know why...
But thank you EA for the Powerplay issuesComment

Re: Patch Released 1.0.1 (PS3)
HALLELUJAH!!!
this patch took a while but it fixes ( according to most who got the patch heere) the penalties. The line changing issue is also fixed.
Now I can shadow crosby with coburn and timonen haha!
the rest for me are icing on the cake
edit- I haven't played the game in a long time....but if there isn't a way to know who the CPU is putting out on the ice....that still won't solve the matching up problems.Comment

Re: Patch Released 1.0.1 (PS3)
The thing is it was wrong last year and it is this year. The home team should get the last change and the away team should not know which line the home team brings in and match unless it is on the fly.Comment

Seems to be working now. I played an exhibition game and the cpu had two penalties called against them. Now on classic controls can I do manual line changes now? Or just on default controls?Comment

Re: Patch Released 1.0.1 (PS3)
THE PATCH STILL HASN'T FIXED SHOT AIM WHEN USING "ALWAYS UP" CONTROLS. THOUGH DEKING IS NOW CORRECT, SHOT AIM IS STILL INVERTED. IS PATCH 1.01 THE ACTUAL PATCH?Comment

Re: Patch Released 1.0.1 (PS3)
I just played my first post-patch game on All-Star and got 5 PP's -- even after lowering hit power down to two clicks. I did notice a change for the better in the gameplay, no doubt about it.
I will play more this weekend and see how it holds up. But first impression is they did address the penalty issue."And by the way, you know, when you're telling these little stories? Here's a good idea - have a POINT. It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener!"Comment

Re: Patch Released 1.0.1 (PS3)
As i said in my previous posts penalties on my BAP shot up. the 1st game 11 pp's, 2nd game 7 pp's, 3rd game 7 pp's and thats just for me not including the Cpu pp's so in my opinion it has definitely addressed penalties.
Goalies imo have been improved also and i feel the ai is more decisive on BAP. now that might just me thinking that but the players i feel move the puck quicker rather than hesitating when they recieve it.
BUT i cant play any of my online league games. it lets me play quick matches but when i recieve a game invite i go to player hub and nothing is there even though in the scroll bar it will say ???? has invited you to a game. then even if it is in the player hub when i accept the invite it always says session unavailable.
All day i have been on the phone with EA, my broadband provider and sony. what i was told by EA is that they have never seen my problem before and that they will fasttrack the issue and get to me tomorrow. i just hope they can fix it because i think i will go psycho if i have to spend another day putting up with that.
Thing is Madden works, NHL 2K9 works but not my online league.Comment

Re: Patch Released 1.0.1 (PS3)
Penalties are no longer an issue. For the first time ever, the CPU was called for over 3 (previous record) in a game. In one of my first three post patch, they had 6!
Everything is now butter.
Edit: Goodbye 2k9!The line must be drawn HERE! This far, no further!Comment
