Re: What 5 GAMEPLAY improvements/additions would you like to see in 2010?
man, i'm watching game 7 of the 94 series on MSG right now, just makes you realize how much the forechecking and neutral zone pressure need to be cranked up
defenseman on odd man rushes pressure more than defenseman in 09 do with even numbers
it shouldnt just be hard to get into the zone, at times it should seem like it takes almost as much skill to enter the zone as it does to scoreComment

I mentioned this in another thread, but the sliders should include speed and passing accuracy for the CPU. The frustrating thing is that in 08, Beginner is too easy but when you go to pro, it's a huge leap, like playing Devils vs. Red Wings - the Lowell Devils, that is. The CPU skaters are moving twice as fast and complete every pass. I'm getting outshot almost 3-1. I can't get the puck away from the CPU in my zone.---------------------------------------------------------------------

If gameplay is really as good as it's sounding in 10.. I hope to see them work a decent amount on presentation/immersion/ambiance next year.
Arena specific stuff like goal horns, goal songs, pre-game intros, between period highlighs with commentary, maybe scores around the league..
I know this doesn't matter one bit as far as gameplay is concerned, but I'm tired of the same feeling each arena has.Comment

Now that the demo is out, release is less than a month away, and they obviously can't add anything to the game at this point, I think the sticky needs to go. Goodbye, fair thread, ye served us well...Comment

5 gameplay improvements... here they are
1. ONLINE if someone quits give them achievements that have been earned so far in the game but people quit before it ends tryed getting "It's Not Easy" was winning 10-2 and he quit
2.Better more specific goal celebrations like when ovechkin scores his celebrations should be what he does not go to the boards with team.
3.fix the goal glitch! where they wind up put it to backhand wind up again and shoot opposite side
4.bring back create-an-areana
5.make create a deke so you can personolize the game like kovalev's deke in the 09 all-star contest
Oh and bring in OHL teams such as windsor spitfire and sarnia sting and brampton battalion and all othersComment

Re: What 5 GAMEPLAY improvements/additions would you like to see in 2010?
1) get rid of comeback AI/cpu boosts when they're down by some goals.
if EA doesn't fix this, adding board play, making the game 'grittier' won't make any difference. Because whatever you do in the game will be overwritten by the game's comeback code. Play a tight defensive game for 57 mins and have a 2-0 shutout? forget it....2 goals in the next 3 mins will come....INEXCUSABLE!!
so this HAS to be the first thing they take care of, because if they don't.....all the improvements they make will be a waste of time.
My improvements in no particular order
1. Puck physics: With the new physics engine the elimination of suction should be possible
2. More use of overlays, more commentary on players perferably specific to the season/playoff in hand. The game already does an alright job of flashing stats for players, it just doesn't do it often enough. More overlays with pertinent stats would go a long way be it goaltender comparisons at the start of a game, or during intermission breakdowns etc.
3. Better AI awareness of the puck and less standing around. The Cpu shouldn't be afraid to deck a player coming into the zone at the blue line or at the very least extend the stick to try and poke the puck away. Its far to easy to gain the zone even on superstar with CPU Difficulty half way up. There needs to be both better neutral zone pressure from the CPU AI and your own teammates both in the neutral zone and the defensive end.Comment
