I notice my CPU teammates always hold up at the red line, even though it doesn't count as a 2 line pass anymore. Sometimes they have room to move up, but always hold up there.

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread
This is the only glitch I recall so far. Playing Be A Pro with the position lock setting as a right wing. A teammate took a penalty. We took the faceoff and started on the kill. On a subsequent clear I went off for a line change and thereafter had no player to control. I got to play as someone else shortly thereafter -- the guy in the box? -- and when I went off for a change again I was no longer controlling anyone. Instead my Be A Pro player was out on the ice being controlled by the CPU in the BAP camera. At a break in play it let me control someone but when I'd go over the boards for a change I'd always have to watch until the next break in play, including watching my BAP player if he happened to be the one heading over the boards.Comment

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread
Hey Redshirt... Hopefully you're reading this thread as well... The faceoffs need fixed again this year. More "randomness" is needed. This is on position lock. Every game I played my team won the opening faceoff, and the puck came to my player I had position lock. I've always locked onto RD (not sure if that matters.)
But, just started a game as Bos (me) vs Philly. Game started, face off came to my player. I restarted the game, and exact same thing. 5 / 5 restarts came to MY player. There definitely needs to be randomness like you had last year....Comment

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread
During the first game of my Red Wings Be a GM, Bill Clement started talking about Chris Chelios, who isn't even on the roster, let alone on the ice. Ive also had 2-3 game freezes, once while trying to enter practice mode (during the loading screen) and another during an intermission when I pressed the PS button to check what time it was. As far as actual gameplay bugs, I haven't really seen anything out of the ordinary.Comment

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread
Can someone with PS3 please confirm that Petri Koskinen of Saipa freezes up the system completely. I've posted it in few sites but I never get any replies, so if you guys have no problem with him on PS3 then I'd better go and replace my game.
He freezes at any roster movements screen except for edit lines unless you try to open his profile.Comment

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread
Dont know if anyone else have seen this, but, Yesterday my team played a game in EASHL, and directly after the faceoff (they won it), the center skates back in the middle of the two defenders, Hit a Dump/slapshot, and it went in, so, basically, between the harshmarks in their own zoon, ok, thought it was weird, and they tried it all game long, so I think this is something they have done alot, you just dont skate back to your own goalie in the start of the game and hit a slapshot if you dont know their is a chance the puck will go in.Comment

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread
It's an accelerated clock. I believe the game defaults to 5 minute periods. Although the clock shows 20 minutes, it is sped up so the game actually plays 5 minute periods. Can be adjusted in game settings...What?Comment

That is pretty jacked up. No matter how bad I am getting beat, I always play the game out. If for anything to improve my skills. What?Comment

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread
My gripes (against CPU opponent)-
2) CPU passes the puck flawlessly. 99% of the time it is a perfect tape-tape pass with perfect speed. Their passes should be as sloppy and imperfect as human players.
3) CPU passes way too often and are too hard to pick off. Sometimes two teammates will pass back and forth over and over again. The CPU needs to take more shots and set up more realistic plays. The CPU needs to take more risks- too many of the passes are to players who are open but not in good offensive position. The CPU needs to execute plays and shoot the puck more quickly. Also, depending on the player type/skill, players should more often try and deke/skate around defenders rather than making a perfect tape-tape pass to a nearby or poorly positioned teammate.
4) CPU is afraid to cross the blue line, often times they'll pass back and forth inside the neutral zone if your players are on/near them. If there is no opening to cross the blue line, they should dump it (which they do well) or they should pass back to their defensive zone to try and spread out the players more.
5) CPU seems to often have superior puck control over the human player. The slightest nudge from a CPU opponent knocks the puck loose, while a hard check from a human player usually only gives them a little bump without losing puck possession
6) CPU opponents are far too elusive and player agility (human and CPU) is too high. They swerve, stop, and turn around on the stop of a dime, almost always resulting in a missed check.
8) Post-whistle play time needs to be shortened. Pressing or holding the "A" button should right away skip to the replay or face-off.
9) In order to fake shot/leg kick, you should have to hold LT just like when spinning or doing one-handed dekes. Personally, I leg kick way too many times on accident.Comment

Re: NHL10 Gripes/Bugs/Glitches Thread
I know, i might be called a noob or something, but I really have to ventilate my feelings atm, Played around 10 games today, in like 8 of them we lost beacuse of cross crease goals, sure, If it happens once in a while I wouldnt complain, But when they do 4 goals in that way, the only goals they did, you start to become really frustrated as i just wanna play hockey as near as it goes. ( and we tried to defend it, no luck what so ever)
I think the problem is that atm, its to hard to score a normal hockeygoal, so ppl do the crosscrease instead, as they know that works.
Im so frustrated atm that im thinking of buying NHL 2k10 instead, to bad. Just my 2 Cents.
So, Still To much Crosscrease goalsl, Remove please!!!!Last edited by Nizziano; 09-18-2009, 05:08 PM.Comment
