If you have the roster that features BOTH Modano and Hudler on Detroit, then its the newest one.

I am really starting to think that the best option is to just manually edit the roster and use the default ones.... What do you guys think ?

I know an earlier poster had said that with the original roster that came with the game, there were no issues with the franchise. I know its time consuming, but its a lot better than having the updated roster done for you automatically but having to deal with a scrap GM mode.

That was me. And I've not had any issues. I've been editing rosters since Sunday and I probably won't start my real Be A GM until late September or early October. I've got the Blackhawks rosters finished (minors and all) and now I'm working on the other teams. I am using the default rosters that came with the game.

I remember reading somewhere that they would have banners being raised each year for the cup winners .. sounds to me like it's too good to be true

Its true. There was actually already a site that had video proof. Looked pretty neat.

How are you able to transfer the online rosters offline? I can't do it.

edit: nvm. Got it fixed. You have to play instead of just saving it. I did a shootout and they were able to be saved online.

As someone mentioned in the other post, odds are those are just players who don't actually have NHL contracts at the moment. I'll check it out later this evening (I'm pretty good with knowing what players are signed and where) and see if I can figure out what the deal is.

When you download rosters via trying to join an online game you have to go back and manually save them I believe. I know that thing pops up asking if you want to save it but I've found that you have to go back and do it manually.

Easy fix though, just delete the roster file that you do have and then try to connect to an online game. It should prompt you again saying there's an update available and all that junk.

Modano AND Hudler should both be on the Wings in the newest roster update. In the pre-release roster update only Modano is on the Wings and Hudler is still a FA.

So does that entail you won't have guys rotting in the AHL? I do have both Modano and Hudler on the Wings in my BaGM.
