Should I keep going in this game since there's a strike because the roster won't update if there's no real roster moves?

Preds update sitting at 6-7-4 in mid November
Decided to shake things up so I moved S.Koystityn to Washington for Brooks Laich ... Am 2-0 since Laich took over the 1 center role. Rinne has been stellar... And Andrei Koystitsyn leads the team with 9 goals

Playing as Boston. Playing all games since i hate simulation. Think i'm 37-7-3 right now. Playing on allstar. Been playing around with the sliders from the beginning. Finally found something that works (tuner 1.04).

Have done a lot of trades. Horton, Bergeron, Marchand, Lucic, Peverley, Chara, Seidenberg, Paille and Boychuk are gone (and a bunch of draftpicks). Have added Anze Kopitar, James Neal, Jamie Benn, Zack Bogosian, Tyler Myers, Bobby Ryan and Matt Read. I have also added some players that will be great in the future (not that the players i mentioned above are very old ) such as Ryan Murray and John Gibson.

I have also fixed the rating on most players in the game since it's pretty clear that EA knows nothing about the players.

so I started an association with the oilers but I didn't start from the draft but from the begin of the regular season, now nail yapukov isn't in my organisation, will he appear later and is there a chance to get him on my roster? in general what happens to the prospects from the 2012 draft if you start the first season with begin of the regular season?

Playing as the Preds. In the first year right before the trade deadline I saw that Martin St. Louis was injured for the next couple weeks and sent them a trade request two Preds prospects(Gabriel Borque and Matt Halischuk) for Martin St Louis and Pierre-Cedric Labrie, which surprisingly went through. The next trade that was proposed to me was my first round Buffalo pick for David Clarkson RW 81 ovr, which I accepted. Then I traded most of my later years picks for that years first rounders, which worked out in my favor because two of the draft picks I picked up ended up being 29th and 30th in the league so I was able to pick up Nail Yaukopov and Hugo Campeau 64 overall goal at age 19 and a green 4.5 potential. I ended up winning the Stanley Cup the first year after almost getting beat by the Canucks and another team in 7 games. Came in at 53 wins or so and second in the league after starting out horribly. The second season is coming along better, I am 19-1-2 (no I am not playing on easy :P) and Legwand is leading my team with 17 goals and St Louis is second with Yakupov at 12 goals. I looked at the UFAs for this offseason and it includes Datsyuk and the Sedin twins so I may try to free up cap space at the trade deadline to make a run at some of them, since I signed most of the existing Preds to long term contracts.

When your in the pre Season you got to go to the roster screen and click x (360) to see your complete roster of every player in your organization but after the preseason he has to stay down in the Ohl unless you brought him up.

Yakipov isn't in mine either... And I did look in roster moves and contracts. He's not there

i simmed through the whole season and he ended up being drafted by another team before the begin of the 2nd season. so it seems if you dont start your first year with the draft he and other 2012 rookies will be drafted one year later. had to start all over again, this time i didnt make the mistake of selecting begin of regular season as start date and i drafted yapukov with my oilers.

I'm doing my GM mode with the Wings. Before the season started I decided to do some trades because the Wings window to win a Cup is closing. I gave Franzen and a few picks to the Lightning for Martin St. Louis. Then I traded Cleary and a few more picks for Chris Krieder, trying to get rid of salary while getting a quality young player. I also traded a few top prospects for Jerome Iginla. Then, after Zetterberg tore his mcl (out 10 weeks) I traded for Jaromir Jagr.

So far I'm 27-11-2, 2nd in the West. I don't think my trades were to unrealistic. The Wings have a big thing for older players with experience, so I took that strategy and built on it.

For people wondering why prospects that were drafted in 2012 aren't on their team its because you need to download the roster update. This will also update a lot of the prospects in the game, making their potential better.

Has anyone had any luck with getting their volume and puck size/shadow settings getting to save in their GM mode?

Each time I shut my system off, those settings go back to default. [just like last year]

Started a gm mode with the Boston Bruins...first trade...Tim Thomas and Andrew Ference for Darren Helm and Kyle Quincey from Detroit...
Gonna get rid of Patrice Bergeron and Zdeno Chara...but i don't know who to trade for...so I wanna ask you who to trade for....please give me some block-buster trade...I really wanna make my team younger
