Re: GM MODE...NEED IMPROVEMENTS in 14
Alright I'm gonna keep this simple but first, does EA read these boards at all? Do our ideas and suggestions get taken seriously at all?
-Rookies absolutely must have the ability to gain weight a few years after being drafted, who wants a 25 years old 175 pound Marc Scheifele on their team in five years? In real life he'll be about 215 lbs by then.
-Be able to follow prospect stats throughout their chl seasons (or overseas leagues)..have the ability to play the top prospect game..memorial cup finals, world juniors, under 18's, etc..etc.
-Add the ECHL, for late bloomers. Be able to play as your ECHL farm team.
-IIHF tournaments.
-World Campionship and/or Olympics every 4 years or so. If your a top ranked GM be given the opportunity to select the team for whichever country you enter at the start of Be A GM.
-Hire/fire coaches..different coaching have different styles..players respond differently to different coaches (Sutter team is more aggressive while a Krueger coached team plays more of a european style game)..add assistant coaches as well.
-Many more scouting options.
-AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST...ALL rookies that aren't real life players need to have avatars! It's 2013 and no hockey game has ever had this! NBA 2K3 I think had it! Sure hundredths of players will look nearly identical but it's MUCH better than having only a black shadow as an avatar!
Be a GM feels so lifeless after about five years and having all the young players be faceless..just add it already, even an ingame pic of the players face/body or some random picture of randomly generated faces created by the game I dont care but this needs to be in and it seems relatively simple.
-The real last suggestion...be able to see all stats of all seasons for all players..not just the previous four. NHL and AHL included.
-The last of last suggestions...When players retire, have the ability for them to be inducted into the hall of fame, being able to view their achievements (awards and stats)..former players come back as coaches, trainers, assistant coaches or scouts..
The game needs to record all records, and have the ability to break records and show it in a personal skybox or something (former NHL 2K games had this)
